Why does that make me want to go buy something as a consolation prize?
I get that all the time too Bookie, I call it the "what the hell" phase. It happens just at the point when I realise I am down to my last £20 or so and for some reason instead of trying to make it last I will go and spend it on a takeaway or something equally frivilous:o:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0

When I am skint I pay much more attention to the detail of my budget and I remember to go through quidco and suchlike....
then as soon as I get paid I am like oh what the hell....
I just wish I was on an even keel all the time....
At least you know now Bookie and you can spend hours making spreadsheets and suchlike. I spend hours doing 'whatif' scenarios on spreadsheets....(sad cow that I am...)
What if I won the lottery...!!!!!!! what if I lose my job:eek: what if I divorce OH:rotfl: the list is endless..... and you can bet your bottom dollar that the one thing you haven't planned for is the one thing that happens....
God laughs at a planner....:rolleyes:Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I've been trying to do that Sammy - so I funnel money away from my current account at the start of the month and back again as the month progresses - definitely helps me
I also loads my NSDs towards the start of the month!
This month I may even have money left over at the end (last month I had £17 - whoop!) 0 0

have to say I feel much better knowing I have the money to pay this bill straight away (well, next week). It means that I still have to find an extra £65 a month to cover the tax coming from my salary for AQA but once the bill is paid, I can find another provider so I won't be paying £90 a month DD instead of £34!
