i think it's only good for trainers if you know what already works for you....

I'd have to argue there on one point though becks, cause they do stock all the major brands much cheaper not just unknown cheapie ones so doubt it was m&m's fault you got stress fracture, more that the trainers weren't right for you....

i got my old New Balance ones from there before... current asics from bargain sports world or whatever it's called but both would have been £80 shoes full price...

...and who's to know if they're last years.... i bet you've never looked at a runner and thought "oh you are soooo last year dahling! i know i haven't....

i do agree it's a p1sser when you can't get the insoles out to put sorbothanes in though!

I've been looking on mandm for ages for a hi viz gilet or jacket but they've never had any... now i'll have my new super aldi one anyway, if it fits!

Nah I was joking about that of course :D:D

These were cheap shoes though - Ascis but the basic ones - which are totally fine but I reckon that when you do lots and lots of miles on concrete like I do then you definitely need a bit more cushioning - either from insoles or in the shoe itself.

Hey I run in a free t shirt most of the time - I have no qualms what I (or others) wear re last season or whatever - but thats why they are cheap - I got my new trainers last seasons as well from a running shop so I could try them out first for softness and it makes a huge difference :D

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, no, sorry, I must be mis-leading. :oI was at a training session in December and the person running it said I'd be great for an upcoming job. She mentioned it to her manager who asked for my career details and I was told to watch out for it being advertised. When it was advertised, I didn't feel it was quite me - I felt others out there would have more experience (it went in the local paper) so I didn't apply.

It's come back up again today with 'previous applicants not to apply'. With the electronic details there is an additional letter which kind of maps out the kind of person they are looking for (an unusual addition to an advert) - and basically it's someone who can deliver corporate training, plan new training sessions, market the sessions, is interested in e-learning and how it can be used in the future, has good admin. skills but is still looking to develop their training skills further rather than being already fully qualified - which is the reason I didn't go for it last time - I didn't feel qualified enough. But, the way it is now worded, I really feel I can fit loads of stuff I now do, along with stuff in the past to the job itself.

And the salary is excellent also. :D

i getcha now... you go girl!!!

    i see... sorry!

So what are you running in now?

Ascis still but cumulus 9s - I think the 10s are the current ones - these were I bit more than I wanted to pay but the women at the shop was great and I was in a rush to get them before I met my parents and it was a Sunday - they were £60 and my parents kindly paid for them for me so it all worked out in the end :D:D

OMG I'll be running the marathon in them and look how much effort i put into picking them - ooppps ;)

I now know exactly how broke I am.
Why does that make me want to go buy something as a consolation prize?

those shares that I creamed the profit off to pay most of my utility bill yesterday? They've gone up again today and I now have another £85 profit on them.....if I do the same it costs me another £12 transaction fee (sods law I took the profit yesterday!) but it would be the rest of the bill paid off and then I could maybe look elsewhere at another power company.....or do I wait until next week .....
