and it isnt totally unrelated to this topic, i think experian etc are quite useful companies!

Ok claire, please tell me the use of experian in what they do that is better than the old system?

I can list many pro's and con's - but then I make argument with the knowledge I am fully conversant with most CRA practices, past and present and the older interbanking system.

What i'm saying is they are a walking time bomb and the next 2 years will see radical reform - reform that would not be necessary if they were doing things right.

They sell to the highest bidder and you call then useful companies? LOL

Regards to your reasoning, and I quote 'I just think if i pay for things, why the heck shouldnt other people!' says it all.

    The classic 'jones' syndrome'

let me elaborate: I am working hard, full time and cannot afford a holiday. My neighbour is a single mother on benefits. However she has 5 holidays a year and has a man staying over and I sometimes see her going to work in a market stall.

This would mean you'd grass her up - not cos you think what she is doing is wrong but cos you're jealous that she has it all and you dont! Classic example of what you're saying above!

Therefore your argument is unfounded based on personal gain or jealousy. To be truthful, if you have to pay back whilst others do not then you've done something wrong cos if you play the game properly you'll never have to pay for debt! Just an afterthought..... :o

Claire, yea have an opinion but don't have an opinion without being able to actually answer why you have that opinion! Thats like me saying I support Man Utd. You ask why, I say 'Dunno, just do'.

    See my point.... its bonkers!

So, I think that you hate others that don't pay their debt back but because you foolishly did when you never had to, you're bitter.

thats the truth so be honest. Your opinion is actually tainted from past personal experiences. I am sorry about that - shame we didn't know each other at the time, trust me you'd have wanted out of repayment if I PM'd you and told you that you really didn't have to pay - you'd have asked the same as everyone else which is 'why'?

Excellent news - so a hypocrite as well none the less....... :rotfl::rotfl:

I am glad you never paid, the reason you never paid is because legally you did not have to so why feel bad?

You've made me sit up and laugh at that - what a kick in the balls that was - I did not expect to see that hahahaha

Interestingly enough, Experian have tried the same tactic on Radio adverts, and were told not to broadcast the advert again:

    http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/Public/TF_ADJ_45538.htm

    Taken from Link

The ad breached CAP (Broadcast) Radio Advertising Standards Code rules 2-3 (Misleadingness) and 2-20 (Use of the word 'free').

    Action
The ad must not be broadcast again in its current form.

Experian have done the same thing with their Internet campaign which they were admonished for broadcasting on radio. No wonder the ASA acted. Experian have no scruples whatsoever.

    I wouldn't trust Experian under any circumstance…

If they're this unprincipled with their advertising, just think how unprincipled they probably are with other things, such as your personal data... The mind boggles...

    You have been warned...

More ASA adjudications as to Experian's marketing scruples: http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/adjudications/Public/TF_ADJ_45826.htm
The ad breached CAP (Broadcast) Radio Advertising Standards Code section 2 rule 1 (Transparency and clear separation of advertising) and section 2 rule 24 (Presenters in advertising).

    Action
The ad should not be broadcast again in its current form.

I don't doubt for a second that Experian employ people to post positive comments about them at groups (illiterate people?). I would suggest inspecting anything you read to make sure it's genuine. I would also advise caution with regards to paying attention to someone who's signed up at a group purely to extol Experian's virtues :p

What's worrying about Experian's complaints records isn't, as with many large companies, that they make errors - far from it. The persistent theme is that their sole motive is to extract as much as they can from users via stealth - without a thought for the consumer.

Make sure to read the links - not a nice company.
