    Hi Not my real name
Exactly what is a "Statutory Report" and where does one get one from?

Sorry but some of us are new to all this!

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Information on your Experian statutory Report can be found here. Please bear in mind that not all lenders share details about their customers with all three credit reference agencies, so you might want to get in touch with them.

    Their contact details are:

    Callcredit PLC: Consumer Services Team, P O Box 491, Leeds, LS3 1WZ Tel: 0845 366 0071

    Equifax Europe Ltd: P O Box 1140, Bradford, BD1 5US Tel: 0800 090 2219

    Regards
    James Jarvis

This is true. The only way to cancel it is by calling them.
    http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer/questions/askjames300.html

Experience and Sensible people should already aware about this sign:
    - You could apply via online and you will need to input your Creditcard detail.
    - Although you apply online but you cannot cancel them Online. The only accepted cancellation method is by calling them on 0800 561 0083. Mind you it is not easy to reach them for obvious reason. This has been confirmed by a lot of posts in this forum. I believe many people already know the reason why it is not easy to cancel them ....
    - Once you sign you will automatically be subscribed indefinitely, unless you manage to cancel.
    - You could get statutory report for £2.

If you only need a credit report, you could draw your own conclusion whether you want to try a free trail with hassle to cancel it and high probability of getting charged or just pay £2 and get statutory report ...

No you cannot cancel by email as they ignore all emails ! I got a credit report from then in feb 2013 . I then cancelled by phone and got an email to confirm this . A few weeks later they tried to take a payment from me which fortunately failed as the card had been stopped for an unrelated reason . They then pestered me for payment . I sent them several emails with proof of my cancellation but they ignored them completely. In the end I had to ring again .

Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Like choking....
  • I cancelled my Experian trial last week. It took like 2 minutes and they even left the account open until the end of the trial.
  • From the reviews on cashback sites like Quidco, Topcashback, about half say they cancelled no problem, and half say the customer rep was pushy, but they still managed to cancel.

A few people seem to have been accidentally charged and had to call to get their money refunded.
