'tummy rubbing' brigade?
And what's with all the references to Gordon Brown?...Boozecruiser is absolutely bizarre, and completely infuriatingly annoying in these posts!
Well done on the win though I suppose.0 -
Haha, good point!
Well done on settling then. I feel like I should insert a load of superfluous smileys here just to keep in trend with the thread.0 -

Well doesnt that just sum the whole thread up nicely :j:T
And since when does 10% of £100 equal £5???????0 -
Given the immaturity of the original poster, I would've loved to have witnessed his behaviour in court, and the consequences for him. Forget money saving, I'd have PAID to see it.
I fail to see the point in posting a poll on a forum, and not just this forum, other forums were hit by the poster as well, then acting like a spoiled child when people disagree with his point. Polls are intended to gain an opinion. If you don't want to hear an opposing opinion, don't ask!
I honestly find it hard to believe that the orignial poster is a senior citizen. I genuinely have the utmost respect for the older generation, and I know that this persons behaviour is not representative of our senior citizens. It's just one bad Apple, Vs Orange.0 -

Not a nice thing to say to call someone !!!!!! and I would hope that you take this back.
Also........he has said that he spent £100 on plants and got a 10% reduction......(this would leave
him with £10 of which he has already spent £5.)
Wow that really is how you are left with £50 -
Time to put this thread where it belongs.

Have to agree with this. Also, we better be careful about what we say about Boozercruiser. He might sue Martin for emotional distress!0 -
Well done Boozercruiser, top banana! I predicted earlier in this thread, did I not, that Orange wouldn't defend this claim? And if Orange is even a fraction of one percent more careful in it's customer service in future, you have performed a service for thousands of others.
Your experience exactly mirrors mine: the company will always say that it is going to file a defence, in the hope that this will be sufficient to scare you into withdrawing the claim. When you don't withdraw the claim, they contact you to settle. It obviously helps to keep the claim small though (the most I've claimed is £250): I don't suppose the company would fold so easily if you claimed £15,000!
As for all the egomaniacs and barrack-room lawyers who've acted here as though they were employees of Orange, well you seem to be quite capable of dealing with them as they deserve!
And yes, I did get my £250 in full.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Well done Boozercruiser,
he told he wanted £450 pound, then wet his pants and settled for less than a third. And the precedent is, if he got more then his misses would had got him a 8 pack of ruddles and some slabs for the patio and someone else to lay it.
If I was Orange, I would make him pay his debt.0
