    9. It must be obvious even to the Keyber !!!!!!, Bad Kebabs, Snowflakes and the likes who inhabit this Forum that I MUST have been in the right. There is absolutely NO WAY that Orange would have paid me £135 if I where in the wrong in any way shape or form.

    10. I have been genuinly suprised by the amount of Sarcastic, Unhelpfull, Snide, Mean Minded people there are here. God, I am glad I don't have to put up with them in real life. They must be absolutely lousy neighbours

    11. I am :j to be able to draw a line under this episode and am right now going to have a few :beer:s on Orange.

Cheers Orange:beer: I just knew that you would come good for me in the end:rotfl:

    Yawn

To3 take a couple of points

    a) They settled because they didnt want to waste time and resource on stupid claims like this. Having dealt with OUK in a legal sense they really do have better things to do!

    b) I've got great neighbours thanks. A ball came in my garden earlier from our neighbour's child. Do you think I can sue for trespass? GET THE POINT?

    c) You clearly haven't drawn a line under this. You settled for 25% of your claim. That is a failure in my book. I would hold my head in shame.

And to add to this: This is nothing to do with stopping people with a legitimate case from pursuing it all the way and taking on the big companies, I'm the first one to encourage and help with that.

BUT for any chance of success, one has to have a valid case and be ready to stand up in court and explain to the judge why you have a case and why you should get what you are claiming for. In SCC, it is decided on the balance of probabilities and if the judge is not convinced he will toss your backside out and has the power to hit you financially.

So in summary for anyone reading this who might get taken in by the bluster, it's ok to seek justice, it's ok to fight back. Just make sure you know HOW to do it before you launch such an action.

    Bookie, out. ;)

Below is a post that I just did on orangeproblems.co.uk (Yes, Orange even have a Web Forum devoted to it's problems.:D The Quote is from the Forum Admin.

Quote:To cut a long story short Orange wrote to me and offered an apology, my £35 Court Costs and £100 making £135 as a final settlement.
To see the back of the situation I accepted the offer and this was paid into my bank account yesterday.

Yes as well as enjoying a four pack of Ruddles  last night, (£5) today the missus and I went to Focus in Aberystwyth.
There we purchased 2 small Acer trees (£30) 2 Hydrangeas (£15) Various Bedding Plants and a couple of Shrubs (£25) plus a nice Park Bench £30.

Total £100 and as we got 10% off the plants being Retired we still have a fiver left over from the £100 'Profit'.

So over the weekend the Missus and I will put all of the Plants in. Then over the years we will sit on the Bench and look at the Trees and plants growing and thank Orange for being so kind to us now :D

But then, they are only making up a bit for being so utterly horrible to us

Now then. What shall I spend that spare Fiver on?
I know, another Ruddles Four Pack :rotfl:

P.S. Of course the other £35 is only what I had to pay to take them to Court, so I am not even counting that.:D

So if it was all just about an apology and not money, how about donating it to charity? I'd respect what you've done a lot more if it went towards people who could use the cash.

Here's what I think. They charged you a late payment charge of £5.00 in addition to a monthly rental of £17.99 - £22.99.

This was totally due as you did not cancel in accordance with the contractual requirement. Ring any bells with you?

Things are all of a sudden clear. So very, very clear.

I am still a little confused as to how someone with your, shall we say, experience, can be so incredibly immature. But overall that explains this facade very well.
