Afternoon all.............(((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

This morning we have collected clothes and the last of the things from the house that we were moving. The rest are up to the removers tomorrow. I took down 2 curtain rails, so I just have 2 to see to at the weekend and a pair of curtains to go to the cleaners. Cannot wash them they are dry
    clean only.

I sold my cooker last night and it was paid for and collected today, so that fine. I have not had to draw cash to pay the removers tomorrow.

This afternoon I put the new mower together for OH and he has rough cut the lawn, he said it was very long and wet. I went to Mr. Tesco to do some shopping, needed some bits to see us over the weekend. Finding my way around the kitchen, keep forgetting where I have put things!!!

The agents contacted me today, the contractor is coming on Saturday and will spend the day here doing the repairs we have asked for, well some of them at least. I want him to put the wall unit up for me if he will, that means we can put a lot of stuff up that’s packed in boxes on the floor.

Started on sorting out my sewing room, the machine is up and books on the shelf unit, trying to sort out where to put some of my other stuff and all the fabric is a nightmare, I really did not realise I had so much to use up. I must concentrate on using what I have before I buy any more……I have a pile of things up there waiting to be ironed, the ironing board will have to find its way up the stairs in the next couple of days.

Thankfully I had a much better night last night, I was so tired. I have aches and pains in places I had forgotten I had muscles.

DD is ok, dgd is on a day off today so looking after mum. I spoke to her this morning, she said she had a fit of the miseries earlier but she was ok when I rang. I must get down to see her later in the week, take some flowers and a card……..

It was nice to have an afternoon when I could just do what I wanted, nothing to pack up and move, or find a space for, we are still sitting on the picnic chairs, the kitchen looks like a bomb site and there are boxes all over the floor, but our bedroom is ok……no mess in there…….. I dare not post pictures although perhaps I should, before and after????

Nice sunny day, rain was forecast but it passed us by, the sun has been out since mid morning the patio door is open and a gentle breeze blowing in…..its fine if you don’t look at the muck on the door!!!
Nest week once we have most of the stuff in its place I shall have to start leaning down the dorrs and windows, the frames need some attention……very dirty and the glass could do with a good clean. Washing up liquid and a vinegar rinse me thinks.

Tomorrow is the great day……I have to be up early and round at the apartment for 9am. Leaving OH here to guard the joint till I get round with the movers…….then he can start and put books away etc…….

    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Bargainbird - you put me to shame! But congratulations to your dear heart. I am sure the study will be worth it!

    I have a working sink unit :j:j:j:j:j

I feel almost ready to cry. I have been looking over the cabinets and I think that if we are going to move next year, then I don't care how safe the cabinets are, and I may be able to get away with all new fronts. And some new drawers to replace the ones that don't work.

However, it is now much safer, and I am going to spend the next few weeks going over the kitchen with a fine tooth comb so that little bear can come down and 'help' me do dinner, bake, etc as it has been a real problem, dashing up and down stairs.

And while I am doing that it is an ideal time to stock take all the rubbish in the cupboards.

But I am taking it extremely steady.:o Unlike most of the wonderful people on here.

And my lakeland order came as well. :j:j:j

Now all I need to do is reconstruct the kitchen...

    Hugs to all.

Also as the neighbours were leaving evil cat gave a bravura, operatic performance of being sick. I was so grateful.

    Hi everyone

Lamewolf thank you so much for the recipe - it sounds lovely I think I will try that one over the weekend.

Well decided that I just could not face going to the gym tonight - far too tired and up again at 4.50 a.m. so giving it a miss for tonight. Will def try to go later in week.

I was going to go on thursday but my sister has just rung and says that she may come to mine on thursday and possibly stop the night. She is looking for a "Mother of the Bride" outfit for the big wedding that we have in Ireland in 7 weeks time and is becoming a bit panicky now so wants to have a look in Leeds on thursday when it is my day off, to see if she can find anything here.

So will need to get all my housework up to date tomorrow after work as I can see it being a full days shopping on thursday but no work on friday so can do rest of jobs then.

Must think about food for when she arrives - need to think of a fairly low calorie dessert to offer her as we are both trying to loose some weight for our outfits! Main course will probably be salmon and roast veg as that is quick and easy and healthy!

Hope you are all having a pleasant evening - I am going to "chillax" and probably surf awhile as I am shattered.

    bye for now

Do you have a John Lewis in Leeds? There & House of Fraser have some nice outfits (we're at a wedding in September so I've been looking too), or Debenhams?

    Evening all

Haven't stopped since I got in, guests for one night = loads of work. But I don't mind, I would do it all twice.

Got a travel cot today, well tried to buy it yesterday but they couldn't find the bar code and I ran out of lunch time so had to go back today, I thought I would be able to cope with it in my wally trolly, but  I got it back to work and got a cab home. I had a hard battle with it when I got home but its now all set up waiting for its little visitor. I can't wait.

Now need to wash all the floors as I would be so :o if she gets dirty knees crawling around :D.

((((hugs))) for those in need or who would just like one

    xx

    Hi Floss

No we don't have a John Lewis in Leeds but we do have a House of Fraser and Debenhams. Thanks for the info. Think it will be a long day!:rotfl:

Sistercas I am so mad at myself coz I usually watch it and only saw the beginning of it and then the phone rang again and I missed it all!! Knew it would be good with her on it!
