Afternoon everyone havent posted for ages as the kids have been keeping me busy.Just back from a park session and a quick nip round Asda.I bagged some of their celebration cake mixes @2 for £1.Usually £1.70ish each so great for those times when I want to get the kids occupied as they love baking.
On an OS front I've got to put the yoghurt maker on in a minute as hubby is dieting and loves the stuff. It used to be mine all mine but the !!!!!! has nicked most of it now grr.Spag Bol for tea with strawberries and icecream for pud
Got my wii fit to do later.Something went wrong with my remote yesterday and it registered my 30min jog at having done 13km!!!Geez I wish I really could run that fast:rotfl:
MSD I get the distinct impression that your family are trying to hurt you and they can only do that through the kids.As much as it hurts there is nothing you can do except rise above it and let them stew in their own juice

Hi all,not been on for ages but still lurking.Hope you are all well.Congrats to Candygirl and DD.
Halight ,hope you are ok.
I was busy last week, getting everything sparkling for a couple who were coming to view the house, but just had a call this morning from the agent to say it is too big for them, although they thought it was lovelyThe details on the site are very clear.Ah well,we can manage for longer now,DH and DS s work has picked up well, and due to our tracker the mortgage is a good bit cheaper at the mo (just hope it stays like that)
Not been doing any os baking as trying to lose weight, but then DH buys 'treats' and ice cream,so I might as well do my own and save money. If only I had more willpower...At least my part for my Kenwood came last week so I'm back in action.
Bought a few reduced bits in the Co-op including a chicken for tonight, only 1.80,and another of the half price Elmwood ones which I'll freeze.DS2 will have lo pork as he doesnt eat chicken.
Right ,am off to do some of my family tree work on Ancestry, had a good session last week, discovered a rich source of information, which keeps me interested. Not related to royalty yet anyway :rotfl:
Take care everybody.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon all,
Well the weather here is holding so far, sunny and warm but quite a lot of clouds lurking about.
Just back from work and need to start on housework but having a coffee first! Hi to Idolikeadayoff :hello: you will like it here, they are a really friendly bunch!
Wm is to go on, as well as bm, someone somewhere mentioned making tomato bread but I can't for the life of me find who or where it is now but I would love to try that if anyone has a recipe! I want to try and do some different breads now I have more or less got the hang of ordinary bread.
I will have to nip to Asda this afternoon before making tea for various bits and pieces.
DD1 and DD2 are both going to the gym tonight and are nagging me to go too - suppose I should do really seeing I started the diet y'day but I am now so unfit (and overweight) that I am dreading it! Although I know that I will always be the same if I do not do anything about it. My idea of a workout and theirs is completely different however!!!!:rotfl:
I will see how I feel after preparing tea. It is so much easier for them to feel enthusiastic about it, I have been at work for 8 hours, tidied and cleaned the house, shopped, prepared tea, walked the dog etc etc and they just have to come in from work and do nothing else and are 25 years or so younger than me!!!! Ok moan over - still think I should probably go! I am probably just looking for excuses!!!!!!
(((((Hugs ))))) to all who need them, sorry will read back properly later this evening when I get chance and catch up with all the news.
Ladymay I know you said that it was early days but they are soooo exciting those early days - enjoy!
Bye for now
xx"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D
Weight loss since January 2011 - 5st 5 lbs!!!!!0 -
candygirl - she'd so lovely, you must be so proud
wmf - if you can start with labyrinth rather than sepuchure - although they are separate books, there are bits in the second one that will be more obvious if you've read labyrinth. I liked them both
MSD hun - don't aplogise. Sometimes OS just doesn't fit in around evrything else. I find this thread great for making me realise that it is normal to have times like this and it makes me go back to it when I can.
Still away from home. OH is having some mates over this evening so that might guilt him into tidying the place up a bit. Or I will go home to carnage on ThursdayI'm finding food a bit difficult here as the campus is a touch isolated and I'm working late, but last night I boiled eggs in the kettle and had them with some rye bread

Recipe I use is:
9 fluid oz milk
1 lb strong white bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 dessertspoon sugar
1 dessertspoon yeast
2 oz sun dried tomatoes, snipped into pieces
1 oz butter
Put milk in BM.
Mix everything else EXCEPT butter in a bowl and place in BM on top of milk.
Put butter on top.
Set BM onto Basic Bread, light crust option.
Delicious when barely cool, with butter and cheese.:pIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Whatever Next
Someone has just knocked on my door, I opened it to find a lad from Southern Electric trying to persuade me to swap suppliers. I told him I use Uswitch & that I was happy with my current supplier.
He then told me he was the local area manager & that he was able to offer me a special local deal as I was such a good customer!
Hmmm, I don't think so, for one thing he looked all of 12 & for another his grasp of english was a bit wobbly, still my grasp on the lodger was also wobby, so he soon beat a hasty retreat, he obviously didn't realise she only wanted to lick him to death.

Got a delivery from Amazon this morning - a blue Chasseur cast iron casserole at a third of the RRP.:j Have taken it out of the box and hidden it under the worktop so DH will not notice it.
Made DH home made spicy lamb burger with broccoli in cheese sauce and a baked potato for lunch and need to make a veggie lasagne for DD(15) and a couple of her friends for tea tonight.
Realised I need some sieved tomatoes so will pop out to get some before rushing round to make the lasagne in time.

I look forward to your posts too and please don't worry about what to include. I think your sister is jealous of you in some way. It seems a very spiteful way to behave and I doubt she even knows or cares it is upsetting to the children.
The house Redruby visited is not mine - honest!!!!;)
Estate agent phoned and our viewers of the weekend, having looked at our house in a market town, then three 3 bed new builds in a village, have now decided to look in York!!!

Looking at the state of it I sould not think it would be and one from this board, i don't think it has seen a duster or any detergent for many a year.
Had two estate agents round, price is about what I thought, but one won't budge on his comission, and I bartered one down to 1 %, will wait to see what the one on Thursday says and go from there.
Got all my jobs done this morning, and dd has gone off with my sister, so a peacefull afternoon here :T.
Diva, my sister and I did not talk for over a year, and we are just really getting back on track now, but I never stopped her from seeing my dd (her niece) as its a really important relationship for them both, hugs to you, it must be very hard xx
Ladymay, how exciting enjoy this special time :T0 -
Hello everybody....just started to rain here, hope that its just passing over...not with the programme to-day, just realised that I should be at yoga class, starts at 2.30 so would be almost over before I got there....there is also the fact that OH has gone to get 2 new tyres on the car....dread the bill but they are badly needed, not sure when we got tyres last so can't complain really
DD4, DGS 2, DDIL and DGD2 are on their way from Cork....DDIL has to go to Dublin airport to collect her cats, who have been in quarantine since the family came from the Netherlands, hope the cats recognise her as they haven't seen her for 6 months!
Ladymay.....remember those days well....enjoy.
Two washes done and out, OH been to Day hospital for short visit, need to check where I can get his bloods done next week while we are away, visited a relative who had been in hospital for 6 months after a bad reaction to anaesthetic, pasta dish made for everyone for dinner and treating myself to a rest while I can.
