ian,
you've blinded me with science there! (not difficult to do that to me, i'm not very computer literate!) but it sounds like a fab idea!
can you do me an idiots guide please?
thanks xx"It is not uncommon for slight acquaintances to get married, but a couple really have to know each other to get divorced." - Anonymous0 -
Washing cars for neighbours? Gardening? Dog-walking?The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Car washing, as previously suggested, for neighbours, gardening, pet walking etc are good ways of generating fivers!

It is worth calling them and getting this information first, and then you will know the type of employer to approach.
I would suggest (if Council approved) washing up for local tea shops/restaurants or catering firms with marquees that do dish hire too etc.
I'll have a think on others.
Not sure whether this is still the case but you used to have to get some sort of permit to work if you were under 16, I guess that this is to make sure that the employment type and the hours were appropriate. I've just found this website that might help: http://www.connexions-direct.com/index.cfm?pid=75&catalogueContentID=1200 -
If you are in the south-west, then most skittles stickers seem to be aged 12-15. Ours used to earn about £12 for 2-3 hours work (depending how fast we played and how many spares were scored
). I say south-west as I dont think I've seen any skittle alleys further North or East than Gloucestershire, but some places down here, there seems to be one with every other pub!

What about leaflet delivery, most businesses would love someone reliable to deliver leaflets for them such as pizza and kebab shops, sports clubs etc, this is something he could do in daylight hours and in my area the going rate is about £20 per thousand leaflets, also slimming clubs always want people to deliver leaflets - hope this helps- maybe he could design his own leaflet to drop into businesses that he thinks may be interestedC x0

I believe a drug dealers runner can be quite lucrative, must have a mountain bike though.0

i advocate the paper delivery. my little brother used to do the local paper here, and as it came out once a week and there was no specific time it needed to be delivery (just before certain days) it meant he could mooch around with his cd player posting the local paper after school. you do need give permission as his parent as well as permission to have the papers delivered to your house for distribution:A Boots Tart :A0

LOL! I was going to suggest Chimney Sweep but this blows me out of the water!
I used to do a milk round - taught me good timekeeping if nothing else & accompanied by adult, unlike paper round. My views are irrelevant - censorship is alive & well!0
