i pay my neighbour child £4 for the car, and 50p for walking the dog.Give blood - its free0

I'd probably pay £3.50 or so for someone to wash the car, but would provide all materials. That would be slightly less than the car wash so a good deal all round! Maybe 50p-£1 for walking the dog, depending on the size/controlability of the dog, and how far they were going to go.Baby #1 due December '050

I would say £5 for the car £1 for the dog0

Crikey - you lot are generous! Or maybe I am just mean
I give my 12 yr old £2.50 to wash the car. Mind you, it does generally need doing again properly

My nephew has been doing odd jobs for the neighbours for a couple of years now - washing cars, painting fences, cutting grass etc and does very well out of it. I think a fiver for car wash/grass cut is reasonable. He has "invested" his earnings in some chickens & now sells eggs round the village. His latest acquisition is 5 turkeys for Christmas. A proper old style entrepreneur in the making!
How about pet sitting for people when they go away? Feeding cats & looking after hamsters/rabbits/goldfish is pretty easy.0 -

Erm dunno! How about a pound a day? I suppose it depends if they bring hamster/goldfish to you or if she has a key to a neighbours house to go in & feed cats etc. Small animals don't really need a lot of attention, so other than a bowl of food morning & evening & cleaning out once a week it's not particularly labour intensive. You could have several animals at the same time. I would stipulate owners to supply all food, sawdust & hay etc.
Maybe the start of the summer holidays would be a better time to advertise, but people go on holiday at all times of the year. You could advertise in the local shop & put little flyers through doors locally.
I get one of the neighbours kids to look after my rabbit when I go away & always buy them presents for doing it. I would pay happily £14 for a sensible child to "bunnysit" for 2 weeks.0
