I currently have PC2700 333mhz I thought this was the max I could use?

    How can I use PC3200 400mhz?

Anything with a given rating (400Mhz) will run at a lower speed (333Mhz). The price difference between 333 and 400Mhz RAM is minimal.

Forgot to say I want to surf etc and play The Sims 2, including all expansions packs which currently kills my machine. It makes it so painfully slow.

    Model: SN41G2

It has 2 slots for Ram max 2gb. Both currently used so I was hoping to replace the existing RAM.

I am hoping I can disable the current graphics card although I am not sure how I would do this?

The Sims 2 would probably better benefit from a faster graphics card as the GeForce 4 MX is not a quick chipset by current standards. Your other problem is it looks like the memory is shared, so you're losing 128Mb of system RAM for use by the graphics.
Saying that, the better overall upgrade for your PC would be the RAM. Check eBay for deals on 2x512Mb sticks.
I have the Sims 2 with 1Gb of 333MHz RAM and an 128Mb GeForce 5200 AGP and it's still a little slow when the screen gets busy. Other tips to get it to run faster would be 1) Reduce the resolution and/or detail level 2) Make sure no other programs are running at the same time, including suspending Anti-Virus and other memory resident applications.
