I'm afraid there's no guarantee you will get these at the on-line price - this is only a "guide price" & you will have to pay the price on the day of your order. I'll be really surprised if they haven't cottoned on to the error by then. So get out to the stores & see if there are any left!

I placed an online order but sent a quick text to my friend so she can hopefully pick some up at a Tesco store on her way home from work. Here's hoping!

thank you OP :D just dashed out to millhouses tesco when i read this, there was a single empty row inbetween all the expensive eggs but the sel said £6.99 each, 2 for £3. I asked a man working on the bread aisle to look for me if there were any in the back and he brought out a box with 6 in, so i had all 6 :D thought it was cheeky to ask if there were any more as i only really need 6 anyway hehe. They went through as 2 for £3 and as id bought a few other things the cashier never mentioned the price.
My sister is going to think iv been mega generous this year :rotfl:

picked up the last 4 in my local but they went through at 6.99 each . went to customer services and was offered difference back . i said ' i suppose I really should ask for double the difference back but that seems a bit cheeky' the SA said no problem that is what you are entitled to! got a refund of £42. ... on my shopping of 38......!

My delivery is between 9:00 and 11:00am. Had planned to get a late afternoon delivery but thought they might sell out so went for the first available slot.
yep i did the same and went for first available slot too!

i also managed to pop out to the tesco home in cribbs causeway bristol where the shelf edge label said 2 for £3 so i got the 4 that were left and took them to till(all self scan),went through no problem.
rang my dad who went to the hartcliffe store and they had no label up so he got them to check proce, scanned saying 2 for £3 but customer to pay £10!! so assistant then rang head office who said a global problem they were aware off and that they would honour the two he had in his hands but no more!!
he then went to the tesco in brislington but there was no sign of the eggs or any labels/pricing at all there.

i personally think i'll be turning my online order away in the morning or will get the obligatory 'these were out of stock' that will be funny though as i ordered 1 loaf of bread and one box of cereal too so will get a delivery of just that, lol.

Oh well, I needed a bulk cat food/litter order and the online codes were good so I put in an order for that and four of the eggs. If they turn up at the discount price I'll be chuffed, if they turn up at full price I'll send them back. I'm not going to lose anything.

I went to Tesco in Telford, but no SEL, so asked cashier to check - went thru at £6.99. Customer services said it was selected stores only and they were not doing the offer
