I have never ordered online with Tesco before and have just ordered 8!

So just to confirm, do you not get charged until goods are delivered? Will I only know it's wrong when he turns up?

Sorry to seem dim, I am a newbie at ordering online!

well what a ding dong i just had.
bought 4 in our local, went to cashier, she rangthem through then called the supervisor after she read the reciept. i wasnt allowed to buy them !.
the till charged me £10 for 4 eggs, but said on the reciept 2 for £3, which raised the cashiers attention. i was whisked off to customer services, where i expalined the SEL said 2 for £3 save £10.98, after much whoohar, they cancelled the first transaction, then done a price override to let me have them for £1.50 each (£6 total) then they kept all the reciepts! i said dont you refund if you overcharge to which i was just blanked, as if to say i was lucky to have them! I was happy to have the eggs, but a price promise is a price promise.

Bootman, when the order turns up,the driver will hand you an invoice..look at it and see what you have actually been charged. If they have charged you full price,you can refuse them,or the whole order it's up to you really.

Has anyone been to the big tesco's in dudley? It's a bit of a drive away and i don't want to go for no reason! Thanks for any help.

Well I've ordered 6, but if they charge me full price they'll be going straight back!!! Its a fantastic post though and certainly worth a punt. Thanks op.

Was in my local Tesco (Ipswich) earlier and they have a large empty space where the eggs were. So anyone ordering them for delivery I wouldn't get your hopes up.

It isn't an online mistake as in the Ipswich store they "empty space" is clearly priced at 2 for £3.00.
