There are various ways that Tesco can (and probably will) wriggle out of this if it is a mistake:

    Prices

Please note that the prices on our Grocery website are guide prices only. The actual price you pay will be the price charged in store at the time your order is picked for delivery. The actual order value cannot be determined until the day of delivery because the prices stated on the website may vary either above or below the prices in store on the day your order is picked and delivered.

Unlikely, but if they take the offer down before your order is picked, they can deliver it at the correct price and give you the option to refuse it on delivery (you will then be refunded).
    Availability

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be liable to you.

This is the most likely 'get out' that they will use, they'll simply not deliver them and claim that they were out of stock.
    Acceptance

There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually dispatch the goods to you. Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually dispatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason.

Very basic, you haven't bought the goods yet, they can cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch.

So all your print screens are pretty worthless if they charge full price (your option to refuse) or refuse to deliver the goods.

That said, fingers crossed and good luck :)

That is the $64,000 question! :D It's certainly happened for me in the past but it's in the lap of the Gods, TBH.

Edit: Forgot to say, if you have ordered some other products as well, and have qualified for free delivery anyway, may be 'safer' to just send the eggs back for refund and keep the rest of the order?

Just went to Tesco metro in Canterbury and there were 3 eggs left. No SEL for offer so i took two to customer service and asked them to check the price as they had an offer on-line and sure enough it came up as £3.00 for the two eggs. I asked if they had any more in stock - they checked but alas they have not got any more until their next delivery.

    Many thanks OP :j

I agree but I have taken a screen print too and I think I will call customer services and see as they should honour the discount as it is still within the date ranges of the offer and the fact that it was incorrect is not our fault!

What did they say when you called them?

I think we should all be ok with this one (hoping!) as it does state they are 2 for £3 saving £10.98, valid from 6/4/09 to 12/4/09 and any discounts will be deducted when your payment card is debited. So maybe we should hold off making customer services calls as if it is wrong, then you will make them aware!!
