The forum search is still having major problems on and off. :(

I just clicked on the "Find all posts by ......." link for a user who has over 800 posts and has been here some time.

The forum displayed a message saying that there were "no results".

    Yep. Had that as well.

I was trying to add someone to my buddy list, and it just kept coming back telling me that the user "did not exist is the database/memberlist".

They most certainly did, and the name was absolutely correct as entered. Odd.

Hi! I'm having problems with the "go to first new post" arrow button in my subscribed threads list. It just takes me to the most recently posted post rather than the 1st post after the last one I looked at the last time I logged on. Its really annoying and doesn't normally do this!

    Thanks!

I enter lots of competitions on this site & each day open up the threads in lots of tabs so I can get through them quicker, I click the thanks button so I know which I have entered.

Usually clicking the thanks button would make sure I keep logged in but since the upgrade I keep getting logged out which means I'm clicking thanks but it doesn't get logged, so I dont know what competitions I have entered & which I haven't.

I didn't used to have this problem as clicking the thanks button acknowledged that I was still active so stayed logged in
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

Those of you having problems staying logged in. Clear your cookies. Ensure you have "Remember me" ticked when you log in. This should resolve your problem.

Also. We have made some changes which should reduce the number of "Sorry for the inconvenience, the MoneySavingExpert.com forum is shut for scheduled maintenance" errors. Please post here if you see anymore telling us when you see it, what exactly the error says, and what exactly you were doing at the time. Many thanks in advance.

I don't think the new thanks count - I mean the one showing the thanks given by a user, is a good idea. Already some users are thanking more than usual (probably because they feel they have to look more generous). This devalues the thanks function even more than it already has been by its liberal use in the arms.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

Looks like we have reverted to the old format. :)
