Thank you for the hugs.
Just got back from the doctors, the doctor has said that if it's a miscarriage there's nothing they can do so doing a scan tomorrow is pointless as then I might need another one. He has made me another appointment for tomorrow evening & has said that if the bleeding has stopped then we'll make a decision on that & if it hasn't then he'll refer me to the EPU tomorrow night. I wish he had referred me straight away as i don't know how I'm going to face going to work tomorrow not knowing either way.
I'm presuming if the bleeding eases off he won't send me for a scan but I don't think that I'll be able to sleep at night so I will pay for a private one. I'm praying the bleeding stops, it doesn't look like it will. He said I should rest & avoid heavy lifting - easier said than done when DD (who's 2) likes to be cuddled & carried a lot. Everytime I lift her the bleeding gets worse.

I just want some energy back - am hoping that will kick in very soon.
I now need to go home and tidy round for my sis - don't want her telling my Stepmum that I live in a sh!tp1t!!
I should have tidied up yday but I couldn't be bothered, I always leave things to last minute!
Off home now to rescue dinner as OH is cooking for the first time in years - watch, he'll not even have started it and will say he waited for me in case I was late and it got burnt!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
EA i was just reading and it doesnt say you have to wait til you get your MATB1 form if you think there is something to risk the health of your child you can request one sooner

Nickabella, if I was you I would head down to A&E if you can and aren't satisfied with what your doctor has done, that is what I did with my first pg when I was getting sharp one sided pains.
They got me a scan appointment the next day or the day after possibly through the EPAU (the ladies there were lovely) and yes I had to go back after for a follow on scan as it was early, but that is what the EPAU is there for whether it does turn out to be a miscarriage or not, they are there for reassurance. In my case the news was bad that time, but it took at least 3 scans to determine that as sometimes there has to be waiting inbetween to see how things progress.
Hopefully it is ok for you, but I know what I am like and would rather be doing something thatn just waiting. Or you could try and phone the hospital and ask to be put through to the EPAU and speak with one of the nurses there, they might still be there now. I booked myself for an early scan this time and didn't need to be referred.0 -

Nikabella - I didn't have much luck with getting an scan when I had bleeding in early pregnancy. I did go to A&E but they couldn't speed the process up - seems some areas are very strict with referals to the EPU. Can't remember how long I had to wait in the end, think it was a couple of days. When I found out I was pregnant, I didn't know how far along I was, so after phoning round a lot of private clinics, I managed to find somewhere who were willing to fit me in that day. Not sure if that is an option for you, but if you need to know, then it might be worth looking into. Otherwise, can you can DD snuggle up on the sofa and watch a film? Lots of cuddles without lifting. Thinking of you xxStay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0

Im going to, after Citizens advice im going to get a load of leaflets and info and shove it in their faces and maybe say "suck on that" if im feeling paticually b*tchylol.
I went to HR today to give them a copy of the letter i gave to my manager, and asked if i could speak to someone regarding materntiy pay etc. And they said they'll get someone to come and get me when i come back from lunch.
They didn't they just told my team leader to tell me i wont be getting a risk assesment until i provide a MatB1 form. I said "thats a bit late isn't it?"
And he said "well its what they said"
but i didn;t want to have a go at him as he was being really nice
Cant shout at the middle man can i?
So now im feeling&
