Thanks for being the voices of sanity...I wouldn't invite myself to stay with anyone, let alone someone with an 11 week old baby. It's just unreasonable isn't it?! Admittedly, if I actually wanted to see her I would have insisted they stay with me! Just told OH about it and he said "well did you expect anything different from her?" which just about sums it up doesn't it!!

jennybee No way are you being selfish or a cow! How dare she - if she was in any way a friend she would realise that you have your hands full with baby D who is not even 3 months old - NO she is the selfish inconsiderate one ((hugs))) dont waste your emotions on her - she is not worth it.

Right I was up to date so flying for today has gone like this
    • work 8 - 4
    • call in chemist for GF prescription items
    • spend next hour on phone trying to find out why I havent got what I asked for
    • spent half hour in tears as I hate it, I want to be normal
    • sulked because everyone at home all day again (apart from DS to his dads) and I'm expected to do tea and nearly all the cleaning
    • didnt get any tea prepped so OH threw some veg in a crockpot and I threw in some chicken - result DD loved it :D
    • steamed some more when DD told me she'd been left at home while OH and his mate went down the pub at lunchtime - shes 10 !!!!!!
    • cleared kitchen and loaded DW
    • DS cleared up this mornings stuff and a couple of bits from the list
    • DD walked dog
result - house still a tip and I'll be playing catch up on friday.

ETA this is not medical advice but is something I do when I desperately need to sleep - antihistamine, the drowsy type give you 4 hours

Right Bins out then bed - Night all
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Thank god...I thought I was just getting on my high horse and being grumpy! She really isn't worth it is she? Obviously she's just moody because I'm not going to jump to attention when she decides she wants to play nicely again. I feel quite empowered.

Quillion, oyster sauce in Shepherd’s Pie, what an inspired idea! DH and I are very impressed. I’ve got a fab bolognaise recipe, the best in the world which I blagged off a friend if anyone wants it…

Piggers, that is definitely a benefit of splitting up – being able to decorate exactly how you want! You go for it, silver and pink sound fab! DH would never let me do that!
I didn’t mean that GF isn’t a good parent, I just meant that the powers that be (which I don’t rate much personally) might think she won’t be. But they are wrong. She sounds really great and is coping really well with a lot of bad stuff. I don’t think I would have coped at all with what she’s been through at that age, or even at this age!

Greenbee, hugs about your mum and good advice about the hand washing etc. I had gloves and an apron on this morning but still scrubbed up to the elbow after dealing with the service user’s night-time accident. You really don’t want to spread these viruses, it’s a shame your parent’s guest went down with it while staying with them.

Just wrote a really long post but the internet had disconnected itself!

This place is a mess. Haven’t been up to doing much lately – we have completely run out of cutlery/glasses/plates etc, and everywhere is filthy. Need to really get down to it in the next couple of days.

Things aren’t going well in Rosepink-land. Had a phone call from a friend who’d been upset by something I’d said and she wanted to tell me how she felt. I can’t cope with people being cross with me (my mum is very critical and I don’t have a lot of self-confidence) and I’ve been crying a lot since the phone call. It’s all a big misunderstanding really, and hopefully it’s straightened out now. Hugs to you Boddy and JennyBee

I’m going to bed, my eyes are red raw and sore so need some beauty sleep! Night night all, sweet dreams xx

Boddy well done with the weight loss.........& ignore the woman

Jenny I agree with the others, put you & bubs (& OH) first, tough if she doesn't like it, a true friend would understand

Sarah sounds like a great holiday

Not a lot done on the flying front today, not feeling too good.........but heyho tomorrow is another day.

    Love to All

    xx

ETA Hugs Rose you are one of the sweetest people around, I can't imagine you saying anything to upset someone else...at least it is sorted out now....sleep well xx

    What is it with friends?

Rather than be upset by the incident perhaps you could think that you are lucky you have a friendship where your friend tells YOU how she is feeling (and you have chance to defend yourself) rather than talk to others about you.

Big hugs and hope everything looks better in the morning.
