Toots, I have done all of today, just spent an hour playing on here and watching TV, while DD went back over the farm after lunch.
Going to get some spuds in the oven for tea now. Was going to go for a walk later but it has clouded over and the wind is picking up, so will wait till tomorrow, don't want to get caught out in the rain.
It sounds like you have all been busy today, well done to all of you. I'm afraid my connection is touch and go, probably the weather, so forgive me for not mentioning all individually..............

OOHH, Escape to the country on in 5, another 45 mins for myself then!!!!!

The girls and I have worked really hard on the living room today, pulled everything out and cleaned everywhere!! :T
I have a few things left to do but have released the girls out to play as they've been a great help today :D
I'll catch up on Mondays jobs over the rest of the week - hopefully.
We've sorted out some more things for a boot fair with my mum at the weekend. We did one Sunday just gone, didn't make a fortune (I have a tendency to say low prices to get rid of the stuff, makes my mum mad :rotfl:) but I managed to get enough to buy a cheap mower from Tesco which will hopefully work it's magic on my nettles :D
Talking of nettles did anyone see River Cottage spring the other night? They made nettle beer (or something similar) I keep thinking I might give it ago  we have tons growing in both our front and back gardens  What ever we do they just wont go.

    Happy Birthday Michelle

Thanks Dusty, Rach and Toots, it went really well and may result in some more work later in the year, so fingers crossed. On the way back I got a phone call to say that I have a second interview on a job that I have been waiting to hear about the funding for so that is good news.

Sounds like good news on the insurance Flower, silver lining and all that.

I need to find the lists and crack on - nothing at all done cleaning wise today other than filling the DW this morning, and putting a load in the WM as I got in.

But! Good news is that my insurance are paying out for the accident I had last year - just over £1200 - so I will be paying them off!!!! :j:j:j
Was going to spend some and do other stuff, but I need to be sensible and pay them off - and if something drastic comes up, we can always use it again... (not!) I need to check with First Direct, as we have a card with them, to see if they have any special offers on transfers, as I could pay that card off and then transfer the vanquis one over to them instead at a cheaper rate - 2 birds with one stone so to speak...
Flower brilliant news regarding the insurance payout! And well done for being sensible - there seems to be a lot of it about just now:rotfl: - you def need to get rid of that high interest one whatever!
aw poor woofs - hope they get a treat for putting up with you being so mean to them!!!:rotfl:

blueberrypie you only have to do the coats and bags and you would get a star for today - go on - you can do it - It wont be as bad as you think!!!:rotfl:
LadyL thanks for asking - I meant to post to say that it disappearred as quickly as it came - very strange - but will keep working on the dentist in case of a re-ccurence! Hope you didnt tire yourself out too much with the visitors - have an easy day tomorrow.
cally_c you are doing well for your first week - just the stairs to do and a star for today WTG!!!:T

I lost my connection twice so have been re-homing stuff and have emptied 3 smallish baskets from the hall - had phone call from NOF and one from BT confirming they are sending the refund cheque- its only £8.50 but its far better in my pocket than theirs! Its the start of the next part of the decorating bill!

I am doing a 60 in 60 just now and I have wasted some time on here so better scoot!
    toots xx

ETA brillaint news Hex - will be keeping fingers crossed for both!!! xx
    Peace will be mine

I'll tell you something Flower I have come over all evangelical about Soda Crystals after that - all I had to do was WIPE the cooker hood - it was foul - after its soak in the bath - I even took the crystals into school to clean the LEGO that we have for wet play - loads of it - 3 washing up bowls full of lego and now clean...the grease/dirt just lifted off with very little effort.

I know, love it now... :j:j

I bought some frozen lamb over the shop earlier to have for dinner tomorrow, does anyone have any ideas of what to do with it, something simple that doesn't use lots of pots and doesn't need a lot of preping, it is diced so I am thinking some kind of stew/casserole
