    Congrats Mummy2mygirls!

Welcome back JennyBee, Michelle & Kaz (Kaz... I'll be up your way over Easter if you need to get away ;))

Still no flying... in fact I've been baking again so the kitchen is even stickier. Orange cake & lemon cake in the oven. I think I might be about to run out of sugar... and my liquid glucose is no longer liquid, so I can't make the sugar paste I was planning on doing tonight - yet more to do at the last minute when I get home tomorrow!

I've been to the gym (1km on the rower, 15 mins on the treadmill - and I RAN twice, for three minutes both times) and then to yoga. Also managed to get a bit of shopping done.

Off to rescue the lemon cake, which should be just about done, and try to cobble together a simnel cake and some chocolate tiffin...

... I'll be back later, as the simnel cake takes 2 hours to cook...

That'd be great. When are you coming up? I'm at work until Thursday then home until Tuesday I think when we head for the lakes with the caravan  - we've only been as far as kelling so far!

Flying wise - since last on I have decluttered a huge pile of rubbish and recycling from my bedside table and laughed when amongst the carp I found a book called "cut the clutter" - wonder how long its been there. Also cleared out the 2 drawers and threw away more rubbish including piles and piles of receipts dating back to 2004!!!!! I am not going to be disheartened by such a small improvement as it is a step in the right direction.

Just popping in to say, no flying housework for me today. Spent the afternoon in the garden flying around there!

Will catch up later in the week as i am enjoying having less flying to do at weekends.

Will fly around the bedroom (leaving the bedding wash until the end of the week) and the living room tomorrow and make a start on the kitchen. Should be upto date by then!

    Evening again,

I've left DH clearing up the kitchen. I was making a cake for my birthday tomorrow, but he took it out the oven before it was quite done, so when i took it out the tin it crumbled. Think i will be buying one tomorrow instead

I forgot how quick this thread moves.

m2mg huge congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I had 2 girls names picked out but had my 2 boys instead. Lydia and Daisy. I could come up with loads of girls names, but i've run out of boys ones. No idea how pigpen came up with 8 plus middle names.

Feeling quite tired now. I think i will be in bed soon. I'm still recovering from a meal out on Saturday night followed by going to Dancing on Ice on Sunday. I've been running around all day too, and you can guarantee DS2 will wake us up between 4 and 5.

think i need to come up with a list of what i want to get done over the Easter hols and then crack on with it. I have done ok today overall.

    This morning I:
    • dropped boys off at nursery
    • got WM on with boys clothes
    • fed both cats
    • emptied clothes airers, folding some and putting others to iron
    • put the folded stuff in wardrobes
    • hung wet washing on airers
    • checked internet banking and mortgage, paid CC bill and moved some money about
    • watered my lettuces and courgettes
    • emptied the dehumidifier
    • cleaned kitchen sink and drainer
    • made a banana cake
    • dealt with post
    • washed a load of DH's clothes
    • wrapped up some Easter gifts for my friends 2 kids
    • made lunch
    • done a load of washing up
    • written prior consent letters to nursery so they will put nappy cream on the boys
    • written a nice letter to nursery about parents evening
    • sorted out the boys PJs and towels for going to my mums tomorrow
    • organised outfits for the boys for the 2 other days they are at nursery this week.
    • printed out a work calendar to go in my teaching file.

between lunch and picking up boys I've:
    • found a load of dry washing in the TD which is folded and away
    • sorted airing cupboard - removed all of the baby towels we don't use anymore and put them in a box to go in loft
    • put DH's jeans in TD
    • washed another 2 load of DH's clothes
    • got one in TD, and 2nd on airers
    • dealt with a plant delivery and been nice and given the nextdoor neighbours some strawberry runners we were sent free
    • put compost out
    • put some leftover bread out for the birds
    • disinfected all DS's bath toys after an accident in the bath yesterday
    • ironing in front of the telly - about an hour
    • friend called in unexpected - had a cuppa and chat
after getting boys, i sorted out bedtime routines although DH got them in bed, peeled/chopped stuff for dinner, rang DH's aunty to sort out seeing her on Friday, made my cake that flopped (waste of my time) fed the cats and picked up some toys.

More than enough for one day. I need to move some of the clothes that i ironed and also take a bottle upstairs for DS2. I'm hoping nursery wore him out enough to sleep.

    See you all tomorrow hopefully,
    Michelle x

My friend is expecting her first child, a boy, on 27th April & has asked me to be at the birth :j:eek: I've been going to antenatal classses with her. She's very nervous about the labour, as would I be if it was my 1st. I've not had any kids either so I can only really hold her hand!

Emily - I was the birthing partner for my friend years ago; it's a real privilege to be asked and I was the first one they handed baby to - wonderful! Enjoy it.

pigpen - Thank you for saying that; hope Jacob's mummy liked it

I'm going to sort my list ready for tomorrow and then head off to bed .

    Hello

mummy2mygirls congratulations & welcome to the little flybub stork-girl.gif

jennybee nice to see you back, doesn't time fly

pigpen well done, that debt figure is an amazing achievement

Dusty thanks for asking, bearing up I think you'd call it.....his family are struggling & I feel bad that I can't get out there, but they understand. I think you asked if my parents were still alive.....no sadly not, just have a sister left other than my DH & kids. Sexymouse cheered me up today though, so that was lovely.
    Big gentle hugs to Woody

Flying wise I'm with Toots I'm concentrating on ebay & amazon, the theory being it is decluttering therefore making cleaning easier.

    xx
