Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

:grouphug: to FFP. It's a worrying time whilst there out there and I was glued to the news. But I just took some comfort from the fact that there are thousands and thousands of troops over there and statistically he was much more likely to come home than not.

Just try and stay positive and concentrate on sending stuff over when he's there, to keep him occupied. I sent my Little Bruv jokey stuff as mum and dad did the basics IYSWIM. Plus he'll be able to phone home and what ever you do don't send any noodles over. Little Bruv is all noodeled out as that's the majority of what they have in their rations when on patrol.

Let us know when he goes and we'll send the positive flylady 'stay safe' vibes with him.

That's lovely of you TAG. His date for going has been put back due to what is happening in N.Ireland just now. Maybe nearer the end of the year now. The 3 kids should keep him going with pictures and letters. SS is the first from OH family who has been in the army so they all tend to stress, I do worry it's only natural really but quite a few of the boys in my family signed up so I kind of knew what to expect. I know he will be fine he's always been the type of kid that if he fell in the Clyde river he'd come out with a salmon in his hand so he'll be good. I'll remember no noodles! I think he'll be more interested in fags and hair gel and the fact there won't be enough burds for his liking! :D

Toots I've finished my bathroom list:D clever girl that I am!
Pigpen sorry your still not sleeping well. Sleepy vibes for tonight. Praying that your troubles become easier quickly.

back from the shop and it has finally stopped raining for a bit.

DS1 mattress ordered. DS2 change of plan - we are going to get him a memory foam topper for now as his bed is an odd old german size and that will make it more comfortably until we decide what we are doing loft room wise.

DH taken the boys to the driving range so I'm putting my gardening gear on and off to toss the PPM and hopefully sow some grass seed.

Boys had to clean windows and back door before they went and were happy to do so. Getting there on the list slowly but surely.

Wonderful Wednesday - Kitchen and dining room
    Level Three

    [STRIKE]Sweep and mop the floor[/STRIKE]

    DONE!!!:j:D:j

That's the weeks list finished at last!

Cleared the shed out today and scared myself with an angry hornet discovery. Took ages to calm down! Slightly overcame my fear of spiders due to the many that were about. Deep breath needed!

Painted the front of the shed with the paint I found in there left by previous owners. See how it looks tomorrow as paint was a bit worse for wear!

Still need to get rid of the million big cobwebs in there, will do this on Monday as off out for the day tomorrow :D

Mum really pleased to see DB and SIL. Kept saying I didnt know and laughing. Later she was was asking where `she ` is. Thought it was my DD but she started asking for my cousin Norma who we havent seen for years. She also seems to have a bit of a cough so have mentioned it to the staff. Her speech very good today.

Jake has been and had something to eat. I will try and get him in later.

We have been shopping and Ive bought a new sink drainer and bowl. SIL loves Wilkos and always gets loads of stuff.

We have now tidied and are planning to have a takeaway tonight.

TAG good news about your DB.

Fedupandskint ~ I had a hornet fly into the bathroom while I was sitting on the loo on Wednesday when we had a really warm day...it did a circuit of the room then flew out again....I was mightily relieved ( in more ways than one :D)

    Tag~Great news

Back to today, my mother is really getting the hang of the library, she may well soon exhaust their art and painting section. City was very busy as there is a french market on, loads of people just milling around.

Back home did my s&s, plus with dh's help:
    Washed down the downstairs doors
Washed the laminate floor in the front oven

And have just put an apple cake in the oven.

Well, back from getting tyres - my brake pads were worn out too so hubby has changed them for me - wasn't too bad as while he was in getting the tyres done, I nipped over to Tesco and did my shopping... :)

Dinner in the oven now (prepared and wrapped it earlier then put the baking tin into the fridge ready to pop in when we started to get hungry... :) ) Just got to do something to go with it now - I'll ask what everyone fancies.

We have roast beef and yorkies tomorrow, I love roast dinner, my favorite... Well, off to put all the washing away now... did the bathroom earlier, my list looks like this now: I must admit, most of this won't get done this weekend. After I've put the clothes away I am going to start on my accounts as I must get those done, then we are going out to the quiz night up the club... (well, it's the weekend... :) )
