I think I've finished a whole day! Just one!! But thats because I employed slave labour this morning in the form of step kids. Evil step mother informed them that it wasn't acceptable to leave their room in the same state as last time they stayed!

I think I've identified the biggest HotSpot - it appears to be my house!

    Afternoon all :hello:

    TAG - Fantastic news!!! :T:T

After my big clear out yesterday I got a phonecall from Ex last night to explain what was going on with DD (She was at his parents up in Cumbria and her Granddad brought her down yesterday to Ex's place) Apparently the car was rather full with Easter Eggs and birthday pressies (now there's something I don't miss, trying to pack a Ford KA with 2 adults, 1 child, suitcases and then pressies ontop. We always came back with alot more than we went with!) so the deal is that she'll leave some pressies & eggs at ex's place bringing home what she can/wants. THEN next weekend ex will bring another bag or so full down with him  I think we might be making a trip to Asda on Monday for Rice Crispies or cornflakes ;) Now do you see why I am constantly flinging stuff even though there are only two of us in this house? :rotfl::rotfl:

I've spent most of the morning on the Wii. I played Wii sports (love the bowling and golf, suck at everything else :rotfl: ), "My Fitness Coach" (I was not impressed with my stats on that  ) and Wii Fit...to say I'm knackered is an understatement :rotfl::rotfl:Apparently I managed to loose 1lb though during it, but probably put it back on with my lunch of tinned cream of chicken soup and 2 tiger baps :o

Tag glad your brother is home. We have SS home rom N.Ireland for easter leave. He goes out to Afgan. just shortly:eek:. Glad your brother is home safe and sound and what a lovely time to have him home.

:grouphug: to FFP. It's a worrying time whilst there out there and I was glued to the news. But I just took some comfort from the fact that there are thousands and thousands of troops over there and statistically he was much more likely to come home than not.

Just try and stay positive and concentrate on sending stuff over when he's there, to keep him occupied. I sent my Little Bruv jokey stuff as mum and dad did the basics IYSWIM. Plus he'll be able to phone home and what ever you do don't send any noodles over. Little Bruv is all noodeled out as that's the majority of what they have in their rations when on patrol.

Let us know when he goes and we'll send the positive flylady 'stay safe' vibes with him.

    Afternoon ladies

Havent done much this morning apart from a leisurely bath and then took DS into town to look for a new phone. Found the phone he wanted but you get lousy deals in the shops so came back to order on the internet. Trouble is he cant order it as not 18 so I'll have to do it but it will have to wait until we are back from The Lakes.

DD 's in a strop as I didnt take her with me and OH's grumpy again (as he has been all week - which of course is my fault ) and had bogged off down to the allotment leaving DD home alone again until we got home.

Have caught up with the thread but cant for the life of me remember what I wanted to say today as I didnt write it down so hope you all enjoy the rest of the day. I'm off to do some sorting washing, and flying downstairs so will see ya's later x
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

cally is your avatar your puddy? he/she looks lovely!

Yes, it's our cat Ziggy - he's about 7 now & is quite a character! We did have two cats, but our little black cat Jez died in Feb, she had some quirky ways & we miss her a lot.

Have had a 'pottering' sort of two days. I can't keep up with this thread!!
Made some bread cobs, hot cross buns & lemon curd cupcakes.
We've been to get some paint pot samples for the hall & don't like any of them so we'll have to go back again

Off to 'potter' some more in the garden now it's not so rainy.
Out for lunch tomorrow as it's my Dad's & sister's birthday, looking forwards to that a lot!

have a good easter everyone :easter:

First load of washing dried and put away. I've washed the throw from the settee and that's on the line. Cut the grass back and front and edged it and swept up.

Took the dog out to the common for a little slow walk. We had to put her on her lead because a young dog wanted to play but she just gets bowled over. It was a lovely dog too :)

Might sit outside and read my book in a while.

Glad your brother's home safe and sound TAG :)

Toots - I have finished Fridays list

DH is busy demolishing and re-bulding again so mountains of dust everywhere. I dont care as long it gets us the house we want some day. In about ten years time, funds permitting....
