Anyone know why the Vanquis card is styled so bland? No name on it, just a blue patterning, is it just styled to look very minimalist and understated?
    I quite like mine!

I have an Alliance and Leicester debit card and that's a similar blue, so they match quite nicely :)

Well, in my opinion, Vanquis are not proud of their name..
I dont see why the card just bears Visa

If people chose Vanquis, then by all means they should be happy to display it proudly.
Afterall it is serving a purpose..a very good one by the way _ helping all and sundry re-build or build from scratch their credit history

I have to agree...Absolutely spot on!
  • Vanquis targets a niche market (a niche market that is going get bigger!), it helps people back onto the credit ladder. It doesn't want people who earn £50k per year and want a £10k credit limit.
Most people would be appalled at the huge interest but then a lot of the people who have a Vanquis account strive to pay off the balance every month and thus avoid the large interest charges. It was the only credit card company to offer me a card after my IVA.
It may look a little bland and understated, but I am still pleased to have it.

I'd say you're spot on with 5 points in your statement - well done.

I agree, Vanquis are ok, they gave me my lucky break - without which, i'd not have my two mainstream cards...... ;)
