    It is odd having a credit card again after not having one for five and half years. Still waiting for my pin to arrive before I can use it. Not sure what I will use it for to be honest. I have spent the last few years just using my debit card and pre-paid master card. Haven't really missed the credit card, everything I wanted I saved up for, going abroad was easy as my cashplus mastercard worked in every ATM and restaurant I used.
    I suppose it will be an emergency option.

    Hello VANQUIS members!!! My last statement from Vanquis was £2 LOL
    Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500
    Credit Cards - Barclaycard £2000 - Silver Card £1300 - Flybe £7500 - HSBC £1000 - First Direct £2500 First Direct Gold £3000
    6 credit accounts closed in 2010!

    has anyone got there apr down with vanquis.what happens when you stop threatening and realy go to cancel.did proliant cancel his card,was he offered better apr when doing so.being nosey sorry.its just that on the best rate it would be a cracking little card?????????
    NID do you have a strategy for getting it down?

    Hi mate, sorry the only way I would suggest is to ask them and if they say no, close account wait 6mth then reapply - you should get auto accepted as good standing prev customer, thats what they told me but then my teir is a B/C so i'm happy enough at moment......
