I think one of the main reasons for going with CCCS or Payplan is that they are supported by many / most credit providers.

In my own experience, when you tell a creditor that you are with Payplan, they normally ask for your reference number, and that is that.

I know that it can take a while to get a DMP started, but Payplan should have given you advice about token payments in the interim.

    Why are you doing this?

You have a lot of posts here. How would you feel if I happen not to be a spammer?

You haven't even responded or challenge my denial in anyway. Just abuse from you?

@skylight you think is just a spot of flack? I've been continually accused of being a spammer by few people that won't even give me a chance or allow me to challenge the accusation.

Anyway, thanks to those that decided to treat me like a human being.

    Hi

Friday afternoon/evening is usually the time that trolls and spammers come out so a "contraversial" post will get a more robust reponse than on Monday morning.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

I remember Egg telling me a while back, when I ask them about options (when the trouble first started), that they only dealt with free companies. I wasn't sure if that was just a help desk script though.

Actually, I haven't had that advice from Payplan (although I suppose it is fairly obvious). Maybe that comes after I've sent back the initial document.

Good luck on the Payplan thing. Please do remember that it does take a while for all this to be set up and for things to settle down when setting up a DMP. The thing I always remembered was it took me a long time to get into this mess so its going to take a while to get out.

  • As far as I am aware there are four fee free dmc's

    CAB
    CCCs
    National Debtline
    Payplan

These are the ones we recommend, the fee paying ones in my experience aren't any quicker that the free ones.

Fair enough, but in my opinion the long-term members who see the unfairness of this shouldn't be supporting the few idiots, no matter how good these people look in their signatures.

I've been around other forums as administrator and moderator before (mostly computing or motorsport based), and I know how damaging it is to have such members. Forums need new members.

I think it might have something to do with your screen name. It makes it sound like you signed up merely to ask that question and that seems a bit suss.

Thank you. My problem is I left things too long. I'm pretty worried the really serious stuff is just around the corner. I suppose that's my main concern with regards to the speed of it. You're right though.
