Thanks guys, I bought some of the pancake mix to try :D the bag is surprisingly heavy, I almost fell over when I took it off the shelf lol! I shan't be having maple syrup though *shudders at the thought* a nice splodge of honey or nutella will grace mine

Sheenangel - there is a wine in the current voucher book - Pinot Grigio Fiore Rosa 6x75cl £4 off, £19.95 + VAT after discount, max purchase 120 if that helps at all :undecided

I also saw they had an iMac not sure what model but it was £776+VAT, sure someone asked about them.

They were giving samples of chicken and bacon sandwich filler which was yum and they've started doing Chinese drumsticks on the rotisserie which were quite nice

They were sampling the chicken & bacon sandwich filler in Chingford today. Was much nicer than I expected & hubby decided to get a tub for his lunches next week.
Today was my first 'proper' Costco shop & we've got some yummy things. I was desperate to try the pancake mix, but it was such a huge bag that we couldn't buy it. We only have limited storage on our motorbikes & apparently there were more important things we *needed*:(. Will try and get a lift there with a friend who drives, then I can get all the heavy/bulky things.
We did get the chicken fillets that people have recommended (hubby cooking something with them now), some bagels, steak mince (didn't have the coupon, but the cashier put it through with the discount anyway), Italian sausages, tea bags, brownie mix (looking forward to making these!:D), Italian seasoning and some cheese & butter. Also had a slice of pizza in the cafe, which was very tasty and a great price for the size. :T
Couldn't find the cinnamon crumble cake mix. Has anyone seen it in the Chingford branch? Would love to try it!

Looked for the cinnamon crumble cake in Reading yesterday too, couldn't find it.

Also saw the IMac, but no other Apple products.

I noticed the Apple ipod Nano, but they're cheaper on Amazon anyway.

Welcome to my world! If I don't have the panniers fitted to my bike I really have to restrict my Costco shopping trips. With panniers I can buy loads. I only take the car every couple of months when we need the big stuff like bog roll.

One great tip for bikers at Costco is the green Zuru luggage straps. Busters charge £8.99 a pair, but at Costco they are £10 ex vat for 8. I also use them on the car for kayaks - they are that strong.

Did you buy fresh or frozen fillets? They do frozen chicken breast fillets at something like £10 for a 2.2kg back. We use loads of these. The Italian sausages are the best I have ever tasted. Enjoy.

That is one of the drawbacks of riding a motorbike (riding in the rain being the other!). I had a large rucksack for bringing home the squashable things like rolls, bagels etc. My husband had a large Tesco cool bag (soft one) which I think holds 18 litres. I'm a good packer and did fit a lot in, but I'm gutted I didn't have space for the pancake mix.

We got the fresh fillets this visit, but I'll look out for the frozen bag next time, thanks! Hubby cooked some chicken last night, stuffed with the Wensleydale & cranberry cheese we got, then wrapped with ham. It was very yummy! :D The chicken was so juicy.
Looking forward to trying the sausages too. They smelt amazing when we were unpacking the food.

I spotted the Zuru luggage straps, but hadn't heard of them before, so wasn't sure if they were a good price. Do you use them kind of like bungees? BTW, gotta ask...what bike do you have? ;)

Yes - just like bungees except that it hooks onto itself, which is rather clever. Like this...

What bike do I have? Probably easier to ask what bike I don't have as my wife thinks I have too many (no such thing IMHO!) The main bike I use for Costco is a BMW R1150GS because it is fitted with large aluminium panniers. I also have a BMW R1200RT as my day-to-day ride, Triumph Rocket III for posing, BSA Gold Star for posing on very sunny days, Suzuki Burgman, Royal Enfield Bullet, Yamaha Serrow and a couple of others that aren't roadworthy but will be one day if my wife and her eBay account don't get to them first!

Superb bike. I only sold mine 6 months ago and regret it.
