I've just been through this pikelet/pancake discussion LOL and I found that what I want to make is neither, its girdle scones
Which is nothign whatever to do with costco LOL!
That would be "griddle scone" south of the border - I think I would call that a drop scone or drop pancake or Scotch pancake - Interleave your fingers and press thumb nail to thumb nail - its about that round and 1/4 inch thick?- In Australia, New Zealand, and the English Midlands and parts of Wales and the north, a small, thick pancake, known in parts of Britain as a drop-scone or Scotch pancake. See Pancake. <<<<<<
!!!!! - A British regional dialect word variously denoting a flatter variant on crumpet or muffin.

Yes think that's it. But the surface is smooth and dark brown, not got the "bubbly" appearance that pancakes have. This all started after we went to a church fair where we got lovely ones with our tea !0

Any ideas?
Thanks
The branded nappies and wipes are 90% of the time cheaper in the supermarket. Can't comment on the own brand stuff though I'm afraid, my eldest only wore pampers and youngest huggies, I used huggies wipes for both.
If you join in on the pregnancy and then parenting threads you've find out the best deal as and when (plus get sucked into lots of chatting)
Pancakes went down well here at the weekend, Hubby ended up working so we had them the following day and my youngest enjoyed his first taste of honey on his as it was his 1st birthdayI've ordered a traditional cast iron waffle iron now
Ps. pikelets are nothing like pancakes0 -
