Just remember costco (as many have pointed out) isn't about the cheapest brands at the cheapest prices - it's about good quality stuff at very reasonable prices!!!
(says me tucking into a hugee tube of coleslaw from Costco that cost about £3 and knocks the socks off stuff from the supermarkets!)
Oh, and if any of you haven't tried the hotdogs (down the noodles aisle if I recall correctly) do so, they are absolutely yummy with the hotdog rolls they sell!0 -

I know exactly what you mean. However that theory completely falls apart when you look at the mattresses the sell. They are all from the Silentnight group :eek::eek:.0 -

We are going to Kent later this month but we would have to go to France the next day so with the cost of a hotel we wouldnt save any money. Therefore, we are looking at the cheapest option here.
The est we have seen so far is the supermarket 3 for £10 deals. There is also a website called cheapbrandwines.com but I'm not sure if I trust it.
Costco may be the best option it seems.
There was one of those famous "Tesco" offers about a year ago. where even if you took the points at face value, Tesco was more or less paying you to drink the wine. Some very presentable bottles worked out at 1 - 2 pounds per bottle. Unfortunately the latest budget has almost certainly put a nail in the coffin of 2.99 wine as the tax is probably getting on for 2 quid (Excise duty + VAT and that is before we talk about bottles with bubbles). Even Costco cannot get round that robbery.
Those of us living in the South East (Dover an hour or three?) were really spoiled, when the Euro bottomed out worth 59 pence.0 -

I don't have a vendetta. I just warn people about what is very poor quality so they don't waste their money.
After all this is a money saving site, and it isn't money saving if you have to replace it in a year.0 -

That's great, but we're 30+ pages into this thread and have yet to even think about matresses. I think we're more interested in stuffing our faces with the food
So everyone, back to pancake mix and other good things0 -
This is a thread about what to buy not what not to buy, I'm sure if any MSE forumites want to find out about the quality of a Silent Night Mattress they'll search for that term and find the answer.
I'll be making the pancakes for Hubby tomorrow - excited! It's our 2yr Wedding Anniversary.

My post was in reponse to a post discussing quality and price at Costco. And it was also on a subject that has been discussed before on here.0 -

These are the American style pancakes, not the style we make for Pancake day
And yes, we can get excited very easily on this thread it seems:beer:
