I've never seen quiche there but I guess it would be with the party food - the sandwich platters, salads & huge pizza's - at a guess

Theyusually have fresh quiche in the Glasgow Costco but I think it tends to be more of a summer thing, didn't notice any when I was last in - going back on Friday so I'll have a look

In Glasgow I take my mum all the time and she just pays with her own debit card -I'm a second on another persons card.

Lots of the £xx.97 bargains are already starting to creep in at Costco. I just bought a few interesting things including:

Rechargeable LED strip light for £9.97 ex VAT.

3 piece pack of Gorilla wrecking bars (36", 24" and 14") for £4.97 ex VAT, which retails close to £20 elsewhere.

Denby White Squares 16-piece, 4-place set (containing 4 x dinner plate, side plate, bowl & mug) for £39.97 + VAT. Cheapest I have seen elsewhere is £73.50 on Amazon but some places are selling the same set for up to £150.

By the w/c Dec 20th there will be lots of stuff to buy at the magic .97 price.

What is the magic £xx.97 price? Does it mean things have been greatly reduced?

Yes. Sometimes very greatly reduced, other times just a few pounds. It is used for end-of-line items which are being discounted to get rid of them and make way for other stock. The last few days before Christmas are a great time to pick up all the gift packs & toys at £xx.97 prices.
