    Yes, that's the one !!!

Sorry - forgot to mention the laptop part (didn't want you to get too excited !) Mine doesn't have a zip on the laptop bit though - it's more of a sleeve.

It comes with an MD padlock too.

There were probably 5 or 6 on the shelf in Coventry - it didn't say it was a special offer and didn't see anyone else looking at or buying one.

    Good luck tomorrow !!

Just thought I'd let you know ....

    I DID GET ONE :D :j

I was going to get the Derby store to search with the 0112284 code but the phone seemed to be constantly ringing and no answer so I called Coventry instead. (Monday evening 23rd Jan)

It was answered immediately and a guy checked for them and said "COMPUTER SAYS TWO - £23.96 - but I'll need to actually check they're on the shelf"

So I say "What about Derby"
He says something like "No none in stock - discontinued several months ago - sold at £179.99 - IF THAT'S THE SAME ONE " ()

I say "Yes that's it, the current RRP is £270, OK can you check the shelf"
He says he'll call me back in a few minutes, which he did.
"There are THREE left, how many do you want ?

Well I was always going to get 2 IF I could (so we both had them as cabin bags for our holidays) but thought - that to get them is about a 100 mile round trip costing at least £15 and a couple of hours of time - so taking all 3 would allow me to sell one for £40 ish and that would recoup my costs.

I said "I'll have all 3, I'll collect them tomorrow"
"OK" he said "Let me have your name and Costco Id number and they will be waiting for you at customer service"
Gave him the details and hung up.

A few minutes later phone rings and it's someone else from Costco Coventry - "There's a problem, a mix up" :(

    Apparently there's ONLY ONE !
I queried previous discussions and call back conversation but NOPE - only 1.
Computer NEVER said 2 - actually said THREE
First guy only ever found ONE (OR never checked the shelf at all - story got a bit muddled here )

Now call me cynical but I'm convinced there were 3 and Costco staff decided they would like a couple at that price (especially since LIKE AN IDIOT :( I'd mentioned RRP earlier when they quoted the Derby price)

ANYWAY, I was just wondering if it was worth the trip just to collect 1 , when some "Good News" came down the phone.

Must admit this news made me even more suspicious over the 2 vanishing cases :(

Man says "You're in Derby? You were coming to Coventry to get these?"
    I say "Yes"
He replies "I can save you the journey. There's a meeting in Derby tomorrow,(Tuesday 24th Jan) I'll bring it with me, you can collect it from there. Meeting is quite late so come the following morning" (Wed 25th)

I agreed that would be "very kind" (I'm sure I heard "guilt" in his voice) and asked IF he could just definitely check that there definitely are not another ONE or TWO hiding somewhere that perhaps could make the same journey

But NO! Went on Wednesday 25th - they had a little bit of trouble finding it - possibly looking for a "laptop bag" - but ONLY 1 turned up out of the "supervisor's store".

ONE FINAL ISSUE - took it to a till to pay - scanned barcode ...

    CAME UP at £119.99 :rotfl:

Got supervisor back and she did an override having checked Coventry price on the computer.

SO well pleased in the end.
Just one thing - the "laptop cover" - not zipped more like a sleeve ..

... like a rectangular "pizza box" with one open end that just has a velcro flap across the middle (in reality just a bit of internal padding)

Sorry for posting such a tome - hope you made it to the end :D
