Therefore, when speaking English, "Ireland" is the only correct name. All other terms are incorrect, including Southern Ireland, the Irish Republic, Éire (unless speaking Irish).

Just to set the record straight, over here, Republic of Ireland is very often used to refer to the country. (Most often used by unionists whereas Ireland would be used by republicans) All other terms are very rarely used. And has been said, don't forget there is a difference between the 2 countries, otherwise..... :rotfl::rotfl: :beer:
