You can use any USB mouse on a Mac, I've not been keen on recent Apple mice, I use a Microsoft intellimouse on mine, very comfortable because I use them both left and right handed.

I don't spend 1500 quid and expect to not use the mouse.....like I said lots of little things

Apple products are a 'cool' accessory that a number of people own because of the brand name. They are however in the position they are in now because they make very good products.

I bought an iBook 4-5 years ago after buying an iPod Mini and recently bought the new MacBook late last year. Without doubt I prefer owning the MacBook with OSX than any PC with Windows or Linux! I don't plan on trying to sell the MacBook to anyone or get into the Mac Vs PC discussion however all I will say is I think it is well worth the money!

You would have got £30 for the mouse on eBay. ;)

I wouldn't spend 1500 quid without trying it first either...

I have had a mac for over a year now and I would never go back to a PC, never ever ever!

Prior to my mac book I had a toshiba laptop, I could seriously come home, turn it on, have a pee, get changed, make a snack, boil the kettle and it would still be booting up and getting me through security.

My mac book, turns out almost instantly!

The battery power is great and they are intuitive to use and they hold their value in the second hand market.

Yes they are expensive, yes they are faddy but I have not known any mac users who can't wait to go back to a PC but I know loads of PC users to love my macbook.

I made a throw away comment about upgrading my macbook to the new silver one and I had three people out of an office of 12 asking me to sell my white macbook to them!

well again the guys in the Apple shop were happy to sit with me for about an hour and show me the ropes

but you can't beat actually getting it home and trying it out.......and like I said they have a 14 day return policy no questions asked......so its not like I lost anything.

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

As an old codger I get on fine with Macs, plus updates are free and lots of good basic software out there for free. I love NeoOffice for a good basic wordprocessor that seems to deal with all the windows variants of documents.
So to all the oldies out there, don't be afraid of getting a Mac.

I wasn't aware that Mac's came with a maximum age limit anyway-don't recall them asking me that when I ordered mine...
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
