Been with ebico for about 6 months now. No problems whatsoever. As others have said, they may not be the cheapest around but the tariffs are very fair and by no means as expensive as other suppliers but they don't try to trick you either.
I have no hesitation recommending them.

I've been with Ebico 3 months. I pay on demand each quarter and their bills are a dream. Units used, unit cost, vat, total. Thats it. Estimates were pretty accurate too. Only fly in the ointment was that PowerGen tried to overcharge me on my final bill and gave Ebico those inflated figures. One phone call sorted this out.
Their unit prices are high but there is no standing charge *OR* tiered prices so for low users they are cheaper.

Hi all,
"Low users" have been mentioned a few times. Can someone tell me what this means?
I have a 2 bed flat in London shared by 2 people. I use my dishwasher, washing machine and dryer about twice a week for each. I'm currently with npower for gas and electricity and last quarter my gas bill was twice my electricity bill. I only use gas for heating . I use electricity for everything else.
I'm thinking of switching to EBICO once I get paid my dual fuel discount of £60.
Any advice?0 -

Lower than average consumption of energy - whatever the average is assumed to be - eg - a single person should use less compared to a larger family with say 3 bedrooms occupied , heated with a telly /computer in each etc
Also some electricity tariffs have a higher rate for the initial units used then a lower one for subsequent metered units.

Why are you saying that their unit prices are high? They seem to be the cheapest for me, I am in London. I am a SAHM.0

Some companies have a standing charge whilst others charge more for the first units used. Ebico does neither. They charge a flat rate.
IE. Ebico electric is 10p a unit. Another company charges 8p a unit, gives a £12 discount for DD but has a £48 standing charge. Although Ebico is 2p a unit dearer they work out cheaper if you use less than 1800 units a year, dearer if you use more.
That example is very simplified. You need to find out how many units you use a year and work out your costs with Ebico and with other suppliers yourself. Don't trust the comparison sites.

Same here, their Gas unit charges beat pretty much everyone I can see at 1.94p/unit. I can get it slightly cheaper if I go with EDF Duel Fuel, but for me it works out cheaper to use Ebico for Gas, and BG Click Online for Electricity (mainly due to the discounts, signing up via house.co.uk).0 -
Being a low gas, high electricity user, Ebico (equigas) are the best price for gas for me but not electricity. Largely because they don't have a standing charge (or initial units). Also, I can pay when the bill arrives (at the same price) instead of paying a fixed DD up front. Have yet to be billed (over 4 months now
) and their customer service is a bit slow (limited phone access, 3 to 4 days response to emails). They seem to like their agents to handle customer support but the agents aren't always clued up about Ebico.

Can't say I noticed this tariff on their website. (Not that I would qualify)
I also couldn't find it but would qualify through being on DLA. Can silvertoes (or someone else) please let me know where they accessed this info. from Southern Electric ?0
