    Afternoon all.

Csarina from reading your post yesterday, it sounds as if your new place is a job for Kim & Aggie! Honestly, I don't understand how anyone can vacate a house and leave it all dirty for the new people. Whenever I've moved, one of the last jobs I did was a final swish'n'swipe, so that the new occupiers would come into a clean, fresh-smelling home.

I should have been making bread rolls today, but Mr LW forgot to get the BM down from its home on top of the fridge/freezer, so I'll have to scrat around and do them this evening after he gets home, as I can't lift it down.

Not to worry, I have a whole load of "change-of-month" jobs - changing the water filter, household filing and other paperwork, that sort of thing.

I've been having a blitz on glass surfaces - the TV screen, mirrors, glass ornaments etc - cleaning with white vinegar, and I have to say I'm pleased with the results.

I must log onto one of the weather sites and check the forecast - if possible, I'd like to get the sofa covers washed this weekend, but only if I can put them outside to dry. They're far too big and cumbersome to have hanging around wet indoors, and I'll need Mr LW's help to do them, so doing them today isn't an option.

I hope everyone is OK, ((((HUGS)))) if you want/need one.

    Afternoon all,

Pleasantly warm here to-day, not much sun but its nice to feel comfortable without needing heat and 2 jumpers.

DGS to school for 8.45, OH to day hospital for 9.30, home via my brother's where got stuck in long chat with his cleaning lady ( not sure why he needs one, he has always been much tidier and organised than me, think she just does his ironing) hadn't seen her for ages. Home to blitz the living room, not quite finished, when done I have to go to collect DGS and then OH, then home to hang out washing and cook dinner, might get to knitting around 7...will manage to fit in a few short visits here I hope.

DD4 went for an interview yesterday for a teaching job in Kent....of course I am hoping that she doesn't get it....pay is only £24000 and can't see how she would manage on that with having to pay for everything including accommodation, child minder, transport etc etc....added to which, DGS2 is in an Irish language school which he would have to give up ( can't imagine there are many such schools in Kent!) and then catch up when they would come back, she reckons that she would like to do it just for a year....I'm scared that she would hate it and be stuck with staying if she can't get a job here next year. Not going to say anything and hope that she changes her mind or that some kind of permanent job she would love comes up here....wonder why final year students are being head-hunted here, thought that jobs were difficult to come by in UK...she would be teaching English in secondary school, surely there are lots of teachers with English as a subject. Sorry for whinge, just don't want to say anything here as I will be seen as trying to influence her...as if I would?!

Hugs to all who are in need or want, congatulations to all who are succeeding in overcoming huge difficulties

Sorry to hear that Katie, it's horrible being in hospital, I know. Hang in there, and fingers crossed that you can go home tomorrow.

Thanks, after talking to the Dr's and promising to come back in if I felt poorly again and pain was not manageable I could go home (I live 5 mins from the hosp) they have let me go home but am on bed/sofa rest

I am promising to be good as it is still unsure what is wrong but all my major worries were put aside which was a good thing

Well best go and do what they want me to do and rest.. thanks everyone

That's great; I think you feel so much more relaxed in your own home, without all the comings and goings of hospital.

Plenty of rest on the sofa, and a favourite CD or DVD sounds like a good plan.;)
