Tired mum, thanks for telling us all that he is home safe and more importantly that he returned on his own.

Hope you manage to sleep ok, but you'll still have all sorts of stuff whizzing around your head.

    Take care :grouphug:

  • Certainly taught me some humility. Although the going has not been/Is not easy in terms of dealing with angry creditors I have learnt alot, spoken with some great people here on these boards. I usually live on the Debt Free Wannabes board but came across here for a look see:D
The thing is despite all of our woes(mostly self imposed with the odd bit of carp that lif throws at us all) we are actually stronger as a family and strangely feel far richer albiet not in the financial sense.

Yes, I second that, I'm glad to hear he's back home Tired Mum. I am not a mum but remember being 14, always on the edge of meltdown and not knowing why. I'm sure he feels awful, I know you do too. Hopefully the fact the police got involved may help him see a bit more sense. At least you know he's at home and safe now.

Tiredmum - thank goodness - now you get some rest :)

Some of you may remember that in july you all held my hand while i was interviewed for a promotion and placed on the reserve list. well since then "my" job was readvertised and reinterviewed - cue hissy fit! Well i've been given a start date - 4th may. Very nervous and the travel will eat into my raise a fair bit but it's a change of scene at least.
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008
  • Evening,

just popping in to say hello. Not caught up for a couple of days again, just finished my evening's typing, off to bed in a sec.

TiredMum, so glad he is home again & safe. You must feel absolutely drained, try to get some rest tonight even if you don't manage to sleep much.
HockeyDuo, what terrible news about another crash. Thank heavens your OH isn't involved, but how awful for all those other familes.

Please to read he is home Tired Mum, think the punishment should be increased for the heartache he has caused, if not he will be rewarded for running away.

    :j :D  :T Congratulations Stefejb

    :T:T:T Well done stefejb

Snowy, try not to dwell on it too much ( I know that's a lot easier said than done :o) Hopefully you'll be able to straighten out whatever is troubling them. We'll all have everything crossed for you, you deserve some good luck :D

You've done brilliantly - really inspiring. One point you've made that I would question is your desire to quit the housing ladder and move into rented. What always worries me is that (hopefully) I won't have to pay a mortgage when I'm retired, and on a much lower income, but I would still have to pay rent.

But, if it works for you, that's great! I'm happy for you and your family that you seem to have found serenity.

Not a regular visitor on here anymore but someone pointed out a post to me and I felt I had to comment.

I take it that I am the "character" in question. There may well have been discrepancies in the OP of that particular thread but if I felt that a particular poster had mental health issues, I would not highlight them on an open forum for fear that my "diagnosis" would upset them and tip them over the edge. There are a few posters who I genuinely feel are mentally unstable but I would rather just not post on their threads than point it out to everyone. I agree that people give too much away on this forum and should expect to be questioned but I believe there is a right way and a wrong way to do this. I did not "take a pop" at Reverbe and I am sorry that you think that I "live for confrontation". I hope that those who know me well would beg to differ. ;)
Maya may well have spoken the truth but I would argue that her posts are infinitely more confrontational than mine.
Sorry for the post everyone but I have a right to defend myself when I think it is necessary. ;)

Tired Mum. I am so glad that DS is home. I hope you all get some sleep. xxx
HockeyDuo. I immedietely thought of you when I heard the news. I hope your OH is back safely with you soon. xxx
Snowy. Hopefully it will work out with the job pet. xxx
Congratulations on the promotion Stef.
Hello to anyone else who remembers me. :hello: :p
