    Hi gargrave

Thanks for the above advice and 1 more quick question if you don't mind:o.

I spoke online with CCCS and they rejigged by figures slighty - adding some to clothing to take away from Pet Insurance, however he said our case would be complicated to do joint and I should consider doing seperate ones or book a telephone appt:confused: - he gave no reasons for this!!

I will make the phonecall soon once I get the kids sorted but I am just curious as to why it would be complicated? Would be it because I don't have an income and my OH would be including my debts being deducted from his income?

Most debts are in his name, 3 in my name (approx. £3000) and 1 joint loan!

I knew this was all going to go belly up after drafting my letters and all last night:mad:.

Thanks in advance for any help

I'm not sure bluejeans. Once you get the kids sorted give them a call with a nice cuppa, I'm sure they will be able to explain.

Don't lose heart, they give excellent advice. This is doable. I am in the same boat although I do have a small income, however our debts are all either in mine or my husbands name and we have DMP'd together.

Let us know how you get on once you have had a chance to have a word with them :)

    Hi gargrave

I phoned shortly after posting the last time and spoke to someone with the number the online consultant gave me. She then informed me because I had already done it online I needed to phone the number of the website. I did but didn't get through and they kids have been a nightmare today with the weather being bad and stuck in the house.

I have went ahead and drafted the letters and quoted the pro-rata figures with the SOA gave me. I have phoned/went online and got the exact figure owing too.

I also phoned our lender for the secured loan as I have requested they cancel and pay back any payments made to the PPI Insurance. They are doing this and said we can use it to the make the monthly payments for the loan for a few months:T. So that's abit extra to plough into the unsecured debts.

I am going to send the letters tomorrow regardless of weather or not I make contact with CCCS as I think this needs to be done now rather than later.

At the end of the day they can only decline and I'll have to go down another route:eek:.

Thanks and no doubt you'll see me back soon.

Well all, had an acknowledgement from Lowell Financial who are dealing with my Choice catalogue account. I CCA'd them and they are acknowledging that they have received this and are awaiting the paperwork from the original creditor. No mention of suspending action against collection at this time though:rolleyes:? Despite writing 4 times to ask for bank details to commence my reduced payments - still none.

Feel a bit bad about reporting HBoS to the ombudsman yesterday:o. Got a letter from them today acknowledging that we are in financial hardship and offering £560 in respect of bank charges claim. The acceptance letter reads as though I am accepting this as full and final settlement - which I am not:cool:. About to go and post details on the Bank Charges hardship success threads to see what the general consensus is. I did write them a really stinky letter yesterday, although it was to their VISA department:D.

    Hi gargrave

Well I did it:shocked:!!. The letters went today so I hope to hear soon if they will accept it in the meantime I will try and work on our budget and I started our dairy today to see were are money disappears too:eek:.

I see in your other post you are referring to claiming bank charges - can we still do that if we are on a DMP? I had started to claim back PPI and I have 1 bank charge on hold until the court case. Can we now hit our bank with hardship bank charges reclaim - they're are quite a few at £35 per time and on OH £35 plus £28 for going over agreed overdraft?

Thanks again for all your advice it really has helped me.

PS I didn't make contact with CCCS again as the kids had friends round today and I didn't have 2 minutes to myself:mad:

Hi Bluejeans, don't mean to rain on your parade but thought I should let you know - many won't reply at all.:o

Your plans sound good for today. If you get a minute (in amongst children!) try to get to work on the budget, and good luck with the diary. Every penny counts!:D

There is nothing to stop you claiming bank charges or PPI whilst on a DMP. Being on DMP doesn't necessarily mean you will qualify for hardship, but read the thread all about reclaiming under hardship for some great advice. I sent my letter off in response to the bank charges offer yesterday so will keep you updated of their response.

What is happening with your PPI claim, hope you are charging ahead with it.

I forgot to say my day by day progress (boring) is on my thread below, I've been posting the letters I've been sending so if you get similar replies you could adopt some of the letters I used - that is if they get me anywhere!
