During winter I spend my days off work in the local library. Not only do I keep my heating bills down, I get to read all the books I want for free.0

Be like the Queen, never carry cash. When you're invited for coffee/lunch, say, 'ooh, it sems daft to use my card fo rjust a few pounds.'I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

My mum once hit a pheasent <sp> in her car, as we lived in the country. There was then a great debate if we should take it home for tea !This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Drink tea ALL DAY at work - then when you get home you'll be sick of it so won't make any more (but stop an hour before you go home else you'll piddle away the savings in flushing the loo!)
Is rumoured at work that someone started to take 2 sugars a cup cos it's free & they want to get maximum benefits....A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I Work nights it doesnt really save you money because you come home to a freezing home and put the heating on then fall asleep ... DOH !!!!!!!!
One tip though is iv found it cheaper to keep the house constandly heated than turn the heating off when not in, instead i turn the thermostat down to 15 or 10. (this is assuming you have cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.)If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

I fail to see how that is extreme money saving. I would say a lot of people do that. As I have long hair that takes hours to dry there is no way I would wash my hair everyday. Also it is not good for you to wash your hair everyday as it strips to much of the oils out.
If you don't work somewhere where your hair gets smelly or dirty why would you wash your hair everday.
Now if you said you only wash your hair in the showers when you go to the gym 3 times a week then it might just count as extreme money saving.

Turn the car engine off when driving downhill
Put a few items in a machine at the launderette, wait for someone to put their washing in on top and get some items washed for free
Move next door to a large venue where there are outside concerts and listen for free
Join St Johns Ambulance to get free admission to numerous events
Blow your nose on the loo roll, before you wipe your bum!!A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
