Change your phone number to a premium rate 0891 number.

When the DCAs call, you'll get cashback!
Budget: a mathematical confirmation of your suspicions. A.A. Latimer
    Debt Jan 06: £103,000
    Current: £99,000
Debt-free date: 2465 (give or take a century)
Current homemade banana bread status: 2 slices left
    Current statement/letter stack: 8.6 inches
The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money
    :D
  • What about getting a job working night shifts.

So instead of working normal office hours and using your lights / electricity at home in the evening you are now at home during the day when you don't need to use lights.

What about if you have a pet dog / cat and taking it to visit another friends house who has a dog / cat and letting it eat some of their dogs / cat food that maybe out in the bowl etc etc.

Or hopping on one leg to work to save shoe leather (but alternating legs each day so you wear both shoes down at the same rate ..if you see what I mean).

or am I just being silly now ?????

Any more examples of potential extreme beyond the call of duty money saving ????????

That a great one Gerradene, very creative !!!

As a slightly bolding 33 yo bloke I am inadvertently on the way to that any way....but have never thought about the money saving implications of going bold !! Thats a big plus.

I can tell the OH yep I maybe losing my hair but think of the money we will save !!

Just goes to show every cloud has a silver lining !!

  • Make your own gifts- people always lie and say how fab they are no matter how crap they are as it is the thought that counts not the gift. Works a treat with parents and grandparents

Go completely against social etiquette and only have a poo at other people's houses so as not to spend your own money on toilet paper.... :D

You may laugh, but I actually have a friend who does this. His Missus doesn't like cleaning the loo after poo, so he leaves it for other people.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
