Have ebay ended their free listings??

Hi

I've just tried to list some items on ebay for free, using the free listing guidelines that were set since the 12th of March, but was charged 95p for listing. This may sound really simple, but does anyone OFFICIALLY know that free listings have been suspended?

They have sneakily made the gallery ticked so if you dont know you have to untick it then it is free.

i made that mistake on three things i was selling the other night. they dont like to give anything away without taking back with the other hand do they... lol

    They haven't.
For personal sellers listings up to 99p start auctions are free.
So, did you start above 99p?
    Are you a business seller?
Did you have an upgrade clicked (highlight, bold or whatever)?
    Did you have additional pics?

I was typing this thread up at the same time this was being posted - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1597851

It is the Enhanced/Enlarged Image Gallery that is a default on the Quick Sell form only, and costs 95p

Thanks all, I think it was the default tick thing as the listing was priced at 95p.

I'm in the process of switching over to Ebid (Ebay with NO FEES). Gonna buy 3 or 4 things first to build up a bit of feedback before I start to list items.

Can't believe I've wasted so much money with Ebay over the years listing things that haven't sold.

What happened with Totalbids? Thought that was the new thing for you?

Good luck with Ebid, I guess if you pay for selling nothing on Ebay, you may as well not pay for the same service on Ebid.

Huge savings to be made on ebid, all the post and packing expenses for instance when nothing sells.
