Urgent Urgent, Help Needed - Vistaprint

I have walked into a scam I think. Last night I ordered business cards and address labels using a borrowed credit card.

I became very confused when using the site and have got awful vibes about what this company is up to.

I have to recover the situation very quickly as my partner is going to have a nervous breakdown whenhe hears about this. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP???

CAn you be more specific? Why do you think it's a scam? I assume it's your partner's cc?

I had an email from Vistaprint UK and they were offering cheap and free business cards and return address labels. I became very confused during the ordering process and it occurred to me that this confusion was caused deliberately. There is no response to telephone calls and emails to their helpline bounce.

They have credit card details and I did a google and found some very worrying conversations on consumer sites in teh US.

This was orderred on my partner's credit card and he is out of contact for the day. He has the card on him.

It coould be that I have only been charged 16.00 but I want to know the worst before my partner comes home and I have to come clean on this.

I have also been onto the Office of Fair Trading and Consumer Direct and they are very helpful.

Many people have used vistaprint so I am sure they are ok.

22 victoria street,hamilton.HM12.Also at this address canons court,22 victoria street,is a company called Appleby, spurling Hunter, legal firm who specialise in offshaw law. This sounds like a registered office that may provide a po box type address for companies to hide behind.only a guess.hope you get sorted.if theres any telecom engineers on this site might be worthwhile asking if its possible to get an address for the telephone number, but its likely to be a po box.also maybe try a search on companies house.I once managed to track down a company and speak to them, but trickery needed. There is also a company called vista print ltd

Did you get the offer in a flyer with an order from amazon.co.uk for Vistaprint's free cards and labels? If so, take it up with amazon customer service, who I have always found excellent.

  • Hi

As a regular UK customer of Vistaprint I thought I would say

I have used Vistaprint many times and got the goods without any problems or scams. They initially contacted me out of he blue 5 years ago when I first set up business.

Their website can be confusing especially the payment section. I have never had a problem with them and use them regularly.

I hope you manage to sort your problem out. Based on just 1 bad report you shouldnt always believe what others say until you have experienced it personally!

    Thanks

    Heddwen.

thanks for all your suggestions and support. I am feeling a bit more calm now. I have had a closer look at my account and though it seemed confusing at first I think I am only being billed for £16. I am not panicking about them now, they probably are very hard nosed and their customer relations may not be very good but I will wait til I get the cards to see what they are like.

Will ring them tonight and will also monitor the credit card on line.

Partner came home v. ill and crotchety and has gone to sleep with his hat on to conserve warmth!!!!!! No question of discussing this tonight!!

When I dare speak to partner will suggest I monitor the credit card on line, we're not big spenders.

Thanks, it was a bad moment!
