Is there anything stopping you taking the SIM out and selling the phone as is? Just seen similar phone selling on ebay, current bid at £67 and that one is used!

I have an old but working ex-orange phone. I should be able to use this phones SIM in the old phone... correct?
Total potential profit over the year could be £40 (Quidco) + £40 (Additional cashback) + £60 (sale price of phone) = £140. For doing nothing except making sure you redeem your cashback on time?
Sounds to good to be true... therefore there's a catch I'm missing somewhere?0 -

I ordered V3 Black from Orange two week before, mine is unlocked. So it works on any network, can't say anthing about this offer just wait until some one get this offer and come back to this forum."Money saving is often a science, investment is often an art."...MSE0 -
Does anybody know if this phone will be locked to Orange?
I really want one of these phones but my Vodafone contract still has a few months to run so I'd like to use my Vodafone sim in the RAZR...0 -

The obvious catch is that you will have to pay £25 (or is it £30) per month to Orange. You will get the cashback of course but at the end of the day, if its risky for you to pay that sorta money every month for the next 12 months just to make £100-150 profit (+sim card), I wouldn't go for it if I were you.
FwdCellular's and Scancom's system used to be nice where you can pay the whole amount up front....you will then get the whole cashback at your first bill or something. You will then not have to worry about future payments (its hard to tell what the future holds!).0 -
Its £20, but I do understand your point- you need to cover the outgoing. You also have to be careful if you are away or sick etc when cashback goes in. I think e2save are pretty reliable though.0

Thats your opinion mate, but I have gone for it, IMHO its too good an offer to miss.
Look at it like this:
- Order today, outlay ZERO
- Phone arrives tomorrow, outlay still ZERO
- Sell phone on Ebay by Tuesday, profit of about £100
- £100 into bank account earns interest, decreasing by £20 a month for 4 months = now down to £20.
- Cashback 1 = £90 - Now up to £110
- £20 line rental for next 4 months = down to £30
- Cashback 2 = £90 - Now up to £120
- £20 line rental for next 4 months = down to £40
- Cashback 3 = £100 - Now up to £140
- Cancel contract = PROFIT of £140
Not even taking into account the £41.50 from Quidco, you are never out of pocket - all you have to do is remember to claim the cashbacks. If you can do that then you are looking at a profit of £180+
Think I can remember for that sort of money!

That is very true Morph3us, I think I am just speaking outta experience as a student cos you never quite know what the future holds....... hence why I never really go with these cashback schemes.
TBH however, I haven't really thought of it in the way you have there which is quite useful actually - in that you never really are in the red. Call me fickle, but I might actually do it- but not for the profit -> more of the case that I'll need the offpeak minutes and it'll like cost me nothing overall to keep it
One question tho, I just signed up to Quidco.....would I still be able to claim the £41?0 -
Yes but they will deduct your Annual membership fee of £5 once a year from your first payment.
Would still leave you with £36 though!

Another thing...surely we are better off going with the Nokia 6111...they are going for £200+ on ebay(!)0
