    [strike]Debt @ LBM 04/07 £14,804[/strike]01/08 [strike]£10,472[/strike]now debt free:j

    Target: Stay debt free
  • Simple - 'Darling, here's a lovely (ish) house you could buy now, and HERE is an amazing wonderful huge perfectly lovely house for you if you wait a while'

Get her to fall in love with a house £50k above you're current budget, she'll be watching the prices fall each month with enthusiasm! lol

(sorry and don't feel offended if you are reading this from the other side of things, someone has to be happy somewhere or whats the point)

Jeez , My initial post is serious , but the light hearted comments are fun . Yes she would give me a clip around the ear for calling it Fat Club etc , But hey after 20 years of marriage....................

It was your initial comments and the reference to not owing her anything that I was referring to. The fat club comments are banter, but as you say, the others weren't.

As someone who has been married for 28 years I wouldnt be happy with some of the sentiments or the thread title, and I suspect that neither would most women.
  • I think if most women think that then that could explain why most men make these references (referring to the thread title part). If you know you're other half, you know the context, and thats the true meaning. If you think he means badly, thats a different story altogether.

I just think it is a bit disrespectful to have your private life picked over on an open forum,if others think differently (including the OP)that is of course, their perogative

I'm not being picky just wanted to point out there is a very sneaky r before the 2nd letter (e) in your perogative.

    prerogative
