Here's PC Pros' review of 15 anti-virus suites http://www.pcpro.co.uk/labs/173/security-suites/products.html
I've had Avira AntiVir Premium since May last year which I purchased from Aviras' website using the 'Trial Pay' option. At the time Ink Club was on the Trial Pay list and I bought a 2gb Kingston sd card and got the anti-virus free. This was not the free version either. Here's the link for Trial Pay through Avira http://www.free-av.com/en/trialpay_download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
Ink Clubs' not on the list anymore unfortunately but there are a load of book offers available and eMusic. You don't get the AV suite, you get the AntiVir Premium. If someone can't be bothered with Trial Pay then Avira's still good value on its own http://www.avira.com/en/solutions/home_home_office.html
And no, I'm not on commission...0 -

It's a shame the way TrialPay seems to be contracting in terms of options offered: the book deals really aren't worth bothering about, and although TrialPay lists them separately by genre, if viewed as a single option then it's obvious just how limited TrialPay's selections have become.
I actually visited TrialPay yesterday in connection with Avira and although TrialPay doesn't offer much (unless you want to spend a few bob on some flowers) the latest Avira version is definitely worth having -- even in its freeware guise. This is because the new version now incorporates a spyware scanner.
Although I'm happy with my Avast AV, I definitely agree with Mr Rossi about Avira's qualities. Anyone with AVG -- yes, it used to be good, but times change -- really ought to be grabbing Avira AV9 Personal now:

So is there a Free version of AVIRA? if I have to pay anything I am staying with AVG. I don't get virus's anyway as I am sensible enough and know what I am doing with a computer, its just nice to know its there to scan the occasional suspect download.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I'm definitely not worried I know for a fact I haven't got it. But if you're worried and are running the sieve, sorry OS, that is windows then this might be useful:
BDTOOLS
Shame on you Asininity; you know very well the only reason Windows has the most viruses is that it's the only operating system in the world, and it has nothing at all to do with how easy it is to take advantage of its many many many security vulnerabilities.
Really, you should know better.
Now, where's Proliant to tell us all there's nothing to see here?0 -
See what? A gang of anti-Microsoft nerds on a Linmax mission? Bloody space invaders!
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -

Very entertaining marty, made me laugh!:DSince when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Almost started the obvious there Marty however to clear things up I'm not a linux nerd. I am however a cheapskate and linux is free, and I like to be secure and linux is that too - two birds one stone and all that.
Anyway heres a video that makes more sense:
