In terms of traffic, what are the more popular, most viewed boards on this site? Why stick the more popular parts of this site down to the bottom? Any new visitors may be put off with the vast amounts of boards there are and not consider scrolling down to the bottom to read about these topics.

(I dont know if the economy board is popular or not, you will know Martin with the traffic info, amount of posts, threads etc)

I notice we have 57 main boards on this forum not taking into account the sub boards, are they all necessary or of more importance than the economy?

The topic of house prices surely can be classed as 'pure money' seeing as a house is the biggest purchase someone is ever likely to make. I would say its far more important than the likes of bankruptcy and reclaiming bank charges etc

My view anyway, and the fact that i'll soon wear out my scroll button on my mouse....Not very moneysaving if i keep needing to buy new mouses ;)

Mr Lewis, it is your board, to do as you please, I am just very grateful that I am allowed to post my thoughts at all
    [strike]Debt @ LBM 04/07 £14,804[/strike]01/08 [strike]£10,472[/strike]now debt free:j

    Target: Stay debt free
  • I would say add a poll to the thread but I imagine the number of people coming from DT now probably outnumber people who were around during the conception of this board so it would be a fairly one sided vote.

Hence I think the move is inevitable.

I never liked the original move from a sub-board on the House Prices board, I think the quality of discussion of the board has declined following that move. It used to be a place of (mostly) serious discussion, and I learned a lot of very useful economic information from the posts.

Since it was made a 'main' board in its own right, many of the original and knowledgable posters have decamped to other boards, or indeed other websites. I can't really blame them for not posting here any longer - but wish I knew where they were now posting as I miss the thoughtful and insightful discussions that frequently occured.

So I don't really care where the board is moved to now - but I would like to know where the serious discussion is happening, as I would much rather be there!

I would disagree with the move.

House prices, recession and the economy ARE pure money...not silly whatsit gossip tabloid style as seen in the arms.

If it was to move, I for one would not frequent it in no mans land of said tabloidness...I can get that from reading the Sun online.

Edited to add - If it was to move to near the Arms, then it would only denigrate further as more and more alternative egos/sign in's would occur.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Suck up or what:rotfl:

Very greatful:confused: If it wasn't this forum that took up your time, it would just be another 1. Dont get me wrong I'm glad this site exists, it's a good little community where you can learn from others but im not greatful it exists as we are in a day and age now where this kind of thing on the internet is the norm.

I'm obviously not the teachers pet:p Sorry Martin.

Oh....I think you should have made a poll Martin, for anyone else it would be too late but im sure as the owner you can manipulate the system and add a poll to see what peoples thoughts are. Saying that though, it will probably be quite a biased result.

To sort the problem of spammers, people that have duplicate accounts and obvious trolls, i think you should employ some moderating staff or if not employ, ask for voluntary moderators with admin privileges like other sites do.

Somebody sensible like SingleSue/Generali would be able to moderate this forum quite well, and a select few others. Surely a better option than moving it to the scrap heap down at the bottom??

    Nor am I mitchaa....

If a poll was carried out, it should only be limited to the regular users of this board and not interlopers who would like to see us get our comeuppance.

    LOL!

DT and the Arms is a MUCH more mature place than here. Theres probably one alter ego on DT continually. Theres about 20 here.

Seriously, degenirate further? I reckon with some of the DT posters, it would only uplift this board.
