Nothing humble about being a Primary School teacher !!!!

Understands figures possibly - accountant not. I'm an IT 'geek'

Well said :T

I can get 20 for £1 from the chemist and they're twin blade. They're such sheer, luxurious quality that everyone here got rechargeable razors for Christmas last year!
Don't worry about the potential for KKP to be a troll, we're having fun initiating the poor bloke into the group and he's bearing up pretty well, so far. Makes for a more entertaining Sunday, don't you think? He'll tame soon and come around to our way of thinking - spend not in haste, lest the great minke whale catches you! :rotfl:
Yeah, I can imagine, that they would be fantastic quality - ouch:eek:. I suppose that a rather dull and wet sunday has been livened up by today's events, I had 2 full pages to catch up on when I came home tonight.:rotfl:0 -
well really !!! I know I'm a good 2.5 stone overweight, but it's the first time I've been mentioned in a paragraph with a reference to 'big fish' :rotfl:

I hope that you are genuine and not trying to wind us all up, this is a friendly thread and I for one want it to stay that way.
No - wind you up about what exactly? A few quid that isn't even anyone else's money? I'm confused...Your big spend on toiletries is probably on razors as you are a man, I know that my DH is always complaining that these are expensive, I wouldn't know as I always 'borrow' his.:p
Well, maybe... if you've got any places to suggest for cheap razors, I'm all ears...Sorry if I seem out of turn, but I am straight to the point and I for one take your method of posting as a tad on the offensive side. Are you a troll? Explain yourself.
I'll ask you...am I trolling the thread? I haven't levelled personal insults at anyone here. If I make a statement along the lines of "alpha male types say this" it doesn't mean males on *this forum* have said it.
Or is it because I use a formal style of English? Somewhat blunt assessments of a situation?...0 -
KKP,
Don't you worry about a thing. We'll soon all get used to each other.
What toiletries do you buy then? (Genuine interest, not provocation):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
HIIIIIII
Have NOT caught up with the thread for a few days, so have no idea what has happened. Hello to all new people, condolences, congrats, happy birthdays where appropriate etc. Sorry, will try and read up and edit this post later
Edited:
Taka - So sorry to hear about your situation, that makes me
SFT - Hooray for the survey coming back but very grr @ the mortgage/tenant situation. I am sure your cottage will be worth the wait/hassle
SkintLynne -at your DH. Hope your arm is feeling a bit better now
aeb - Welcome to you and my condolences on your loss. Don't be afraid - we will all help and support you in whatever ways we can. You sound like you are doing really well already, and I am sure you will be an inspration to us all. That is a brilliant idea about sewing together plastic sheets to cover your greenhouse!
Ram_murdock - (((HUGS))) to you. Hope you enjoyed your birthday outing
Cha97michelle - Hope you are feeling better now
NYK  HOW much have your ducks grown in 3 weeks?
Andromache: Oh dear, love is messy isn't it? Hope you manage to sort things out, I am sure your BF will understand.
Have had quite a good weekend - went and collected frugalcycle on Friday ( took an hour as I got the house number wrong ). Of course it has been raining all weekend, so have not been on it yet but it looks alright for £26. Also picked up a bulb for my kitchen light - couldn't be sure what size so got both and a new starter motor.
Saturday went to work in the morning, then frugal beau came round and I cooked him dinnerI managed to point out that I cannot afford this eating out every week lark, so made Chicken New Yorker, with wedges and onion rings and jolly yummy it was too!
Was meant to go a-cycling today but due to the weather went into Plymouth instead. Took back the bulb and starter motors that did not fit, and did TK Maxx
This avo, made a massive dhal curry which will do me for lunch for the week, plus a fish pie. Might make apricot crumble cake and krispie marshmallow squares in a min if I can be bothered. Oh, and I sold another item on Ebay :j And a book on Amazon
Have replied to an ad on Freecycle for an EasiYo, but the chap has not got back to me yet. Am up to 78 with my 101.
*and breathe* Phew! I must not go so long between postings next time!We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
KKP,
Don't you worry about a thing. We'll soon all get used to each other.
Someone leaped on me saying I was racist in another thread, when I was actually commenting on the lax employment rights here and the emigration of 1500 UK nationals each day (source BBC in case you wondered). That said, it isn't quite as bad as some heavily moderated forums I have been on...What toiletries do you buy then? (Genuine interest, not provocation)
The usual stuff really...deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, razors, shaving foam, maybe a facial cleanser..apart from the last one I'd think most men bought those.
They seem to be doing their job, because I feel and look a lot better than when I was using Tesco value type stuff...:rotfl:0 -

These vague statements do not answer me. I asked you to explain yourself................and you haven't.
The actual way that you write is quite insulting in my mind and as I am an easy going person, I do not take saying such a thing lightly. I am not going to apologise for being 'blunt' as others have. That's just the way I see things and I am entitled to let you know. As I said earlier, this is a friendly thread which I value greatly. You are very welcome here if you are a genuine person, if you are not, then please go elsewhere to 'troll'.0 -
Ok
KKP-Speaking as a Soft Southerner I think you do have a manner which gets people's backs up. Sounds like you've experienced this before. Sometimes people can be taken the wrong way..but if you do want to join us...then join us..stop being defensive/over analytical of what everyone says to you/chill out and join in with the crazy, caring 4k gang. That's my best advice and if you don't want to take it then so be it..

Well, I was assuming that Skint Lynne's post was serious - in that she meant what she said. That last reply sounded almost identical to a troll. Maybe I'm wrong. In which case, I wish her well.0
