im on waiting list for cbt for the abuse i had as a child and got some one helping me with work stuff.
i just need to get my anxiety sorted along with my self confidence and self belief.
i just feel so low and despairing, especially as i keep banging on about my weight, how much i miss horse riding and not doing anything about it.im getting out to do tai chi when i can but feel i kinda need to do something else?

Hello everyone....not posted on here for a long long time. How are we all?

I have a good reason for popping by.

I'm imagining a few here have had involvement with their local NHS Trust/Mental Health Team.

My friend has been dropped from therapy with no warning. She had an appointment yesterday and when she turned up they were acting shifty and refusing to say why. Eventually, by telephone, she was told that this 'therapist' was no longer a therapist.....she was last week and today she received a letter saying she missed an appointment elsewhere (not true) and they wanted to offer her more support whilst still having her therapy with this therapist - letter dated Monday. She was told yesterday her therapist had been moved due to a restructure - so she was a therapist last week and Monday, but went to work yesterday to be told she wasn't....do they think we are stupid?

Anyway, i've put in a complaint on her behalf.....the one slight issue - I volunteer with the NHS and this particular department, although I only go to this base rarely - it really is just a base as i'm outreach, so I risk losing this.

Have any of you ever complained and had a satisfactory outcome?

Hope you are all well :)

Does anyone still read or post on here? I'm struggling, trying to work out if I should go back on medication, having been off since last summer (solid ten years on before that!). My whole lifestyle and attitude is very dysfunctional at present.

Hiya Fire Fox, Just to say that I subscribe to this thread but rarely post.

I was on meds for 3 years and came off last year, for about three months. I noticed that although I did have lows whilst on the meds, being off them meant the lows turned into crashes, and my anxiety really worsened. I noticed that I was less patient with the family, so I decided to go back to taking them. I'm satisfied that going back on meds was, for me, the best thing to do.

I subscribe too. I stopped taking my meds about 6 weeks ago as I was getting fed up with not being able to function before about mid day. Actually feeling quite good at the moment...
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)

    Hey everyone. Remember me?! ;)

Just thought I'd update things. :p

I'm still under the care of the mental health team. I have a lovely CPN and fantastic psychiatrist. I've just started on Pregabalin for my anxiety and also as an additional pain med to my Tramadol.

I have now been married to DH for 2 and a half years and we have a 14 week old. :) He's incredibly cute but growing so quickly!

Is Tiff still around? I miss her Tiff chronicles. :(

Hi Lady M:wave: Glad you are doing well and congratulations on the baby, not seen Tiff post for a very long time,I too used to love her chronicles it would be nice if she popped in to say hello
