Thanks... I'm not off to a great start, the anxiety is so bad I tense up and shake, but the scary bit is my throat does it so I can hardly even eat or swallow... just don't see how this is happening....

To add to it at work today I was asking a supervisor about a serious panic attack (not me), and they said he should 'grow a pair'... I just wanted to have a go as she clearly has no idea what all this is like in reality....

The weird thing is, for me I'm OK when I'm in work and focused on a task I have no problems whatsoever. The minute I step out the door... I'm a mess and getting worse by the day.

    Hello All,

hope everyone is well and gettin by as best as they can as I know it's not easy for everyone at times, if not most of the time.

Little Star, that is a disgusting thing for ur supervisor to say!! That must have made you feel terrible going through what you are going theough and then knowing what will be said if you ever need support from work in the future. Do you have an occupational health person in your company? I know not all companies have one of these, but I do know, speaking from personal experience and asking people who i used to work with, that you do not need to be refered by personnel/HR, you can contact them and book an appointment to talk to them if you have probelms with your anxiety at work. I do understand that it could put you under too much pressure to report this person to her manager, but she needs something dong!! people in positions like that who have that attitude are disgraceful and need removing, but unfortunatley it is folk like that who do tend to progress with ease, it's so unfair. This site is great, not just for money saving, but the majority of folk on here are very nice and supportive, so do keep coming back as I'm sure those on here will be able to, if not help you, just to show you that you're not alone even though you may feel it. take care and chin up.

With regards to me, well, where do i start??
i posted a while ago saying that work was unbearable due to the whislte blowing i did. Anyway, it got too much and I had to leave, so now not just depressed, with stress realeted alopecia due to the work situation, but i'm now unemployed!!! Not good!
I'm still arguing with work through my union for a settlement. i had an interview last week for a job the same as I have just left. I though i had a good chance but didn't get it as someone else with more experience, so that sent me back down a serious spiral of depression. All I'm doing is eating and sleeping at the mo as I just don't have the energy to do anything, the least little thing tires me out. I have no interest in going out to see friends, plus, on top of everything else, my best friend is moving 100 miles away in a couple of weeks, so will be even more isolated and upset than ever, just so fed up with myself at the mo. I so need a job, but because my mood is so low, I'm already thinking i have no chance once I've applied, so, big circle starts again.

Sorry for the essay, just felt like a rant. thank you for listening.

Best regards to all of you

    Wuzz.x.

And here! The sun does wonders for me.

I'm a lot more relaxed this week, maybe through settling into my new job a bit more. But there are times I think the only way to get rid of the feeling is just to knock myself out or something.

I mentioned I had been given SSRI's by my doctor. After taking it twice and feeling worse I stopped it and tomorrow am going to my GP to ask for talking therapies.

Have a great Sunday all x

afternoon everyone. good luck to everyone and hope all is well, if not will look up soon.
glad to have good weather, cut the grass, raked it, put some washing on the line and had just taken it as it comes today.
same old really, got a job retention officer looking into getting me tested for dyslexia and having it funded through work via personnel and although my manager said that work couldnt fund it apperantly their is a 2010 act that says that they can, so hopefully?
plus im terrible at greasy marks and stains on my tops so ive got 2 to deal with and am looking into getting help with my garden as ive got something as invasive as knotweed taking over it (coming from the church grounds behind).
ive tried to do what i can, dropped hints as well as asked family to help but they dont want to know and thier advice is about as much good as a chocolate teapot. tried the council as well as the housing association to be told it down to me so it looks like i might have to ask the person in charge at the church?
theyve had the comminity payback people in to clear some of the grounds for allotment plots so i reckon it couldnt hurt to ask?

    Hi All,

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I Had a lovely day sat in the lovely sunshine yesterday. Feel so much better when I've had a bit of sun, don't know why it lifts my spirts but just does, same as a lot on here by looks of it.

After being on here other day decided to try get myself sorted out so made an appointment to see doc. Can't get an appointment until a week on wednesday, but at least its made. Also got a few other bits sorted which made me feel like I'd had a bit of a productive day then something had to spoilt it didn't it!! Grrrrr!!
Just sat watching TV when saw 3 men & 1 woman decide they were gonna try my house & car doors thinking I wasn't in!!! Cheeky T**ts! Sorry for the language but really made me mad. Whe I went out to ask when they were doing claimed ignorance and started babbling in an Eastern European language. I did ring police as I know it's not an emergency, and they didn't take anything but what gives them the right to try the doors to my home and car which I have worked hard for and had to pay for?? Grrr, still angry about it. I know this may seem an over reaction as they didn't take anything but what makes these folk think they can just do such stuff?? So annoying!!!

Anyway, i'll stop ranting now and will say good night.

All the best to you all and hope you can have a good day tomorrow.

    Best wishes

  • Just checking in to see how everyone is.

I'm still struggling with anxiety and feeling like I'm on a different planet to everyone else... the meds I got given made me worse (I know that can happen initially) so I went and got some natural remedies instead... we'll see how I get on.

Anyway went to see my GP who is very obedient!! He's fine with me not taking my meds and is referring me for CBT. I think I just have a million sentences I need to get out, rearrange and process in order to make a start getting past this mess my head is in. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long.
