Feeling bitas my cat's tumour now very large, she is still very happy and enjoying life but I may make that awful decision very very soon
. If she still with me in just over a week I may decide then as I'm off work for a week and know I won't cope when I lose her.
Hopefully she is still going strong. Whilst she is happy...you'll just know when the time is right. It's the worst decision i've ever had to make, but maybe the kindest one.0 -
Has anybody ever sacrificed their ADs in order to loose weight?
One of my ADs side effects is increased appetite & weight gain. I'm already approx 5 stones over weight & can't afford to put on anymore. I've only been on this particular AD since Feburary, but I've never found them to be effective. I'm going to cut them down over the next few weeks with a view to stopping them completely.
My weight gain is having an effect on my mood & my confidence & self esteem is rock bottom at the moment. I've started counting points (weight watchers) & am hoping I will start loosing some weight using this method, then I'll try and incorporate some exercise.0 -
Slept better last night but feel worse.
Meant to be taking my mum to the doctors tomorrow - will see how I feel about going along for the trip, my OH is testing something in the car, so is going out anyway.
I don't like to see her when I feel underpar as she gives me a row which helps - NOT!!
I am more sensitive when underpar, so don't need people making me feel worse about it.
I wish I knew how to tell her this without incurring more aggro
Times like this I wish I lived miles from her, so I don't feel I have to justify how I feel to her all the time. I feel so scrutinised all the time. I feel under such pressure to be the perfect daughter/wife. At least my OH is beginning to understand and not get too upset by it. Also, my son has his own life, so can choose when to see him.An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

I wish they wouldn't put the weight on. Five stone extra weight is going to give you other health problems.
I do suggest you talk to your GP about your concerns before changing dosage. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

My AP (quetiapine) makes me put weight on, all I can do is work against it. It's like walking uphill through treacle...but I am managing it, just have to eat healthy regardless.
I feel like !!!!, warmed up.....I am NOT feeling good, I don't know when I'll get to see one of the new GP's but I may need to make an appointment. Right now, the head stuff is just too overwhelming....I hate talking to people if they bother me too much....i keep getting !!!!!! with myself and people who care about me...I keep thinking 'just keep swimming" but i can't swim anymore.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

Thanks for the replies & hugs for those who are struggling at the moment.
I have mentioned my weight concerns to my GP before, but all I get is it's better to be overweight than depressed. This is not helpful in the slightest & actually puts me off discussing my weight issues with the GP.0 -

What a stupid thing for a person to say. let alone a professional. Sounds like a fob off to me. I would put my foot down and say it is giving you other health problems.
Being overweight can make a person feel depressed.
Plus if a depressed person takes ADs and it makes them obese, then they are trading one set of problems for another.
Honestly, where are these people being trained?

Another question
No matter how good things are and how much you are feeling reasonable, do you sometimes feel bored by everyday chores and people, then feel guilty that you can't be bothered with them?
Every so often, although I have a lot of be thankful for, things do get so boring, I want to hide away for a few days to get a break from the 7 day a week job that is running a house etc. Then the enthusiasm returns. An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:

How annoying - had an early GP appointment and once again, everything is down to 'depression' as opposed to anything physical.
Short of losing my temper with a GP, how on earth does anyone make a GP listen, before it's too late0
