Thanks to everyone for their comments. Chubby is/was gorgeous. Such a gentle cat,

Hopefully weather permitting, the cremation will take place early this afternoon.

Apologies for not being able to respond much right now, my head is still spinning.

4 minutes until 24 hours that she was put to rest.

((hugs)) for Miro. I think I mentioned that I was there when we put my childhood cat down. I was a teenager and that cat was a huge part of my life - he'd been thier since before I was born. It hurt so much. I hope you feel better soon and get to the stage where you can look back happily on the memories of your pet without the sadness. ((more hugs))

    Thanks feelie.

Sorry to hear about your childhood cat. They do tug on our heartstrings don't they :o

In the middle of the tears i'm smiling. Looking at the picture I posted, i'm expecting her to suddenly look at me, make a little noise and her big brown eyes to be buldging out at me, hoping I will stroke her on the head and tickle her under the chin.
  • So sorry to hear about Chubby Miro. I have kept checking to see how you were both doing. From one big, proud softie to another take care and be strong in the knowledge that you do your very best at all times for your furry family.

    Thanks Waldo.

I hope your furry friends are all well.

45 minutes until we leave. No cancellation yet. Bad weather is approaching, but not here yet.
  • Hello friends,

My local paper advises me to wrap up warmly, as it is winter, otherwise I might catch a cold. The barman has just shown me his long sleeved sweater underneath his winter weight shirt.
Nothing suprising you might think......but this is Egypt, and the daytime temp touches 30 degrees C!

How differently we look at life, and evaluate things when we are in a different place!

Back to Uk tommorow uh-oh. Has it really been minus 20 deg C in some places?

Miro - Thank you for pic of Michael Buble, but I would prefer a picture of you. I strongly suspect you are actually very good looking, although you do not believe this yourself.
Re: your loss - I am so very sorry to hear your sad news. If I emigrate, and can't take my cat with me, I would want to leave my beautiful boy Sammy to someone like you.

razorbladekisses - psych units can be grim. Can I help? Stay in touch x

Beachbeth and to all those feeling poorly in these gloomy cold days - I am sending you all warm sunshine-y hugs from across the planet to you <hugs>. CB2X

 No you wouldn't. I don't think enough of myself to post a pic of me. Maybe one day when I feel better about myself!

I'm willing to take cats in! Not sure flatmate would be so clean. The place feels more empty, but the remaining two will keep me occupied.

Well, the cremation took place and Chubby got a good send off. I even managed to get strong self adhesive engraved plaques for the wooden cat that the ashes are stored in for all 3 of my cats that have now moved on.

    Hi Miro

Glad the cremation went well and you are still blessed with the other two. Chubby looks so cute and content and will have gone to a good place.
