would love to be able to go for a walk outside alone even for half an hour sadly this isnt possible, i am full time carer to my two sons who have learning disabilites and cant be left alone. the stress of caring for them gets to me some days, weekends are usually the hardest, when both are at home.
the thought of its monday tommorrow, and a couple hours peace is keepin me going. also a support group that i intend on going on friday, never been before, but heard good things, and its only once a month, so we shall see, i think what puts me off is its run by a church group, and i'm not religious at all.
fish fingers and chips for sunday tea, as cant be bothered cooking a proper dinner, sure kids wont mind tho.

Hope you have a good monday! Wow- its no wonder your feeling so low- hope the support group works out for you- sounds like you need support and time for yourself. I wouldn't worry so much about it beign a church group- for most, a religion can be read in so many different ways, what exists as God for one person can be entirely different to the person sitting besides them in the very same church. Most people don't tend to talk about this unless promted by a discussion such as the Alpha groups or similar. All you can do is see how it goes. Hope it works out for you.

Would still worry that you have no real time for yourself though- no you said its just not possible atm, but don't want you to think its not important.

PS, kids tend to love fish fingers and etc more then they do cooked meals if my memories/baby-sitting is anything to go by!

    Hi guys!hello.gif
Morning everyone - how are you all? Oh right...asleep.sCo_unsure.gif Sorry - I'll try and whisper then.

    NOT! smiley-sleep017.gif
I've had 2 hours and 5 minutes sleep - don't ask me why confused-smiley-013.gif - so I'm not feeling very fluffy at the moment. Accordingly, please don't make any sudden moves and keep away from the sharp end!308.gif
It's now 3.05a.m. and I see both messy and jennie have their little green lights on too!sHa_wave5.gif
I'm sending a warm Tiffy sSig_welcometoourclan.gifto fedup100pc (fedup), jenniewb (jennie) and hannahiow (hannah), and an equally warm make-sign.php?sign=601-48xpc99y&demo=true to bunnie.sLo_hug2.gif Thanks for posting and sharing your situations - it's lovely to see everyone rallying around to lend their support as usual. action-smiley-033.gif
Sorry for my delay but I'd got to hunt out my trainers ready to chase miro if he gives us a hard time,laughing-smiley-014.gif, and then I had to head south and dig out sazzy and gilly - gilly badgie told her not to take down that wall, but would she listen?!foldarms.gif Talking of disturbances, I hope everyone got through those awful gales and torrential rain safely? There was a terrible
draught coming through the catflap and hitting my southern exposure! speechless-smiley-040.gif

I was a clever Tiff last week. I'd had a really carpy Purrsday, so I did everything I could to avoid the Friday the 13th Curse - I didn't go out, I cancelled an appointment, switched the phone off and I even wrote the date as Friday, November 13th, 2009. I'd got all my bases covered.
I may as well have just stood naked out in the middle of the street during the thunderstorm, wearing a big sign saying, ''Come and get me!'' waiting.gif
I should have just gone ahead and gotten it all over and done with on the day because the bad luck and carpy feeling seemed to linger all over the weekend. So even though we're only half way through November and with your kind permission, I hereby bestow upon this month, the ''EXCESSIVE CARP!'' award!
In recognition of this, today's first pic is dedicated to those of us in the same boat. Please apply as necessary.sCo_watchout.gif?writelyrefresh=1

There, that feels a bit better! wink.gif
Sorry about this virtually pointless first post, folks. If you think reading it is hard, you should try living it! rolleyes.gif

Not meaning to sound patronising, I've been hopelessly trying to find some wise and witty words of comfort to make all of us feel a bit better. But maybe that's the point: our situations are unique to us, though we can share many common factors. Yet over all these pages, from everyone here, I've seen real courage and love and friendship and laughter follow all the times that we believed were finally, our very darkest, lowest points - ones that we knew we'd never get through. And yet every time, without fail, you did! We know what we're feeling now but you've proven in all your posts, that we don't know the whole of our story, that it hasn't been written yet and that somehow, you have always managed to find yourselves in a brighter place again. You are true survivors.action-smiley-033.gif Here's to tomorrow then, guys - all of them.wink.gif
And if that made any sense to you, then you've achieved more than I have.sCo_blink.gif See what too much catnip and not enough sleep can do to you? Oh well, it is Moanday after all. rolleyes.gif

A huge Tiffy bighug.gif to all those of us who are poorly, or who have poorly loved ones, who have counselling, appointments, assessments, meetings, any treatments, work and also to those of us who are really struggling right now.grouphug.gif
    Be kind to yourself guys.sLo_hug2.gif
    Much Love,

Hey Tiff, yeah still up..watching some "World's Strictest Parents" to take my mind off things, going to have a power nap after this.

Thanks for your post :) I think you've struck a chord with me as you're right. I have so many times when i've been down, where i've lost hope in life, that this will ever get better. But for all the bad times i have had so many good times, with friends, family and those close who care enough about me to want to, and enjoy spending time with me. Yes there are bad times, but there can be good times to, to quote one of my favourite quotes "to see the rainbow you must first get through the rain"

    photogrpah-a-rainbow.jpg

and another rainbow quote "“Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.”"

Loving the kitty post! Will try and track down one for myself, and i'll no doubt be back on later (after i've recharged the ol' brain cells!!)

    *big hugs*

    Hi guys

Been busy driving around southern England working out where to move to next.

Not had the best week. The drives were fine but our cat got knocked over on Thursday but thankfully only stunned and fine now. It worries us when he goes out but he climbs walls when he can't go out, like when it rains or very windy like last Saturday. Half a tree fell in our drive but it is clear now.

My OH isn't well and had to cancel an important meeting today. A business colleague of my OH is having heart surgery. Plus my emails are playing up - that was the last straw:(

This rain and all the stuff going wrong is bringing me down:(

I haven't slept too well this weekend, so understand how you feel Tiff.

he goes to his sister's house with his mum and dad, his sister's husband and child will be there. i've met his parents, but not his sister, and therefore havent been invited.
trying to think positively for the kids sake, and make xmas as best i can for them.
our plans are to have our traditional xmas dinner on xmas eve, then on xmas day do a fry up of left over potatoes and veg to go with the cold turkey. that way i wont be too stressed on the big day, and will have more time to play with the kids and their toys, which is what its all about really. if it wasnt for my sons i dont think i'd bother with xmas.
bit, ok tiny bit of housework got done, i defrosted and cleaned my chest freezer, ready for filling with xmas treats, tidied living room, and almost finished knitting a jumper.
sorry to hear about your cat and your OH hope they both better soon.
the dark and wet days bring me down too.
(((hugs))) hope you feel better soon

If I had known that everyone was up so late/early I would have come back. I was up until after 4am this morning, simply couldn't sleep as I felt really anxious, almost every time I closed my eyes I had this whole weird thing going on at my DH was dying and it was really freaking me out.

I've got dermatitis come back on my scalp due to stress and worry, but I'm trying to use medicated shampoos which is not having any affect, so the more stressed I felt last night the more my head itched.
  • Medicated shampoos can be quite harsh, Bunnie, so try using something more gentle from a health food store. I have ezcema caused by a allergy to preservatives in cosmetics, so I'm gradually changing to soaps, shampoo, detergents etc without the allergens. I've just started using a tea tree oil shampoo that is preservative free.
