I think the SE W800i & D600 offers were put into place to drive traffic into their site (and E2SAVE knew they wouldnt be able to issue out these phones) - and as a result, they would be listed highly in search engines like google.
I also think Quidco have had a part to play in this too - Im about 90% certain that Carphone Warehouse and Quidco maybe part of the same company.
You're perfectly right with the first two paras, but not yet sure on the Quidco part.
I was suckered into ordering the D600 for my daughter and then "treated" myself to an 02 contract on my favourite phone. The first order was done through Quidco, so now as the D600 is being cancelled then I wonder if the Quidco £41.50 won't get paid as well !
I'll have to wait & find out on this one.0 -
your a long way wrong if your this CPW and quidco are the same company - geez......0

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I got my W800i from E2Save on the Orange 1000 OP tariff. It's not a case of them not being able to supply the phones - they supplied what they had in stock. This was a clearance deal, remember. Orange has now stopped the 1000 OP tariff, so E2Save can no longer offer it. I never got Orange World added to my tariff, either. I called Orange to turn on international roaming when I got my phone, which they did. They also stuck £5 credit on my phone to use whilst abroad (I used it to download Sonic.
).
Here's my Quidco statement:

I think e2save are pants over this deal. I ordered one to be told 2 days later they were awaiting stock, yet on the website they were apparently in stock!! They shouldn't have kept taking orders if they had no stock IMO.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Oh, I agree that they should have stopped taking orders when stock had been depleted. What I was pointing out was that the poster I'd quoted seemed to be a touch paranoid, saying that the deal never existed, etc, etc.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Ah I getcha! I agree with you the deal did exist, if only for a short time, as some people did get there phone.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I have had pretty much the same deal
my curent Vodafone contract runs out in 2 months, so thought I may as well get one of these as I always get a new contract when they run out as you get a better deal, though that seems unlikley now. They took £0.01 off each of us for the card authorisation checks  cheeky sods, just out to make a quick few pennys

Does anyone have any idea, where we stand legally. I am planning to be a thorn for e2save, asking them to value the deal they offered me, if not proceed legally. Aslo should i ask them to credit back the 1p they took of me, and also pay for all the calls i made to them (not because i want the 1p, but to really make them feel the value of time and money).0

Just got off the phone to e2save and you will NOT get the cashback from quidco  As they get commission from orange, and orange will no longer sell the off peak tariff, as they are changing their plans from the start of next month. This means e2save wont get their commission(£120-£160 per contract!!) and will not pass on the £41.50 for each contract purchased via quidco
So much for offering high cashback then
One good point for people who did recieve the phone and contract-If your phone is faulty(or you think it is....
)send it back and they will give you a brand new one as they do not have any used, damaged or returned phones to give out :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh......They will also do you a near same deal on O2 if you want an L6 motorola
....nice 0
